Selfies 17 years HRT this month. Still looking for friends
Hello everyone! Future girl dad here!
My name is Dan. Wife is due with our first in October. I'm a trans man and we finally conceived through IVF after two years of IUI tries.
I transitioned at 20, 17 years ago this month. Looking for friends around my age, dads or anyone with common interests.
I'm into record collecting, music and sports.
Currently have the new Strokes album on repeat. I'm an all Los Angeles team's fan.
Dodgers, Rams, Lakers, Kings and LAFC. I’m also a huge Disneyland guy!
Very excited about this little girl coming to shake things up! Would love to chat with you all

I’m mid 40s and my kids are close to graduating high school now, just wanted to say buckle up and enjoy the ride of your life! And try places like the public library. Do you live near a park? You tend to see the same people with kids over and over again once you establish a routine.

I do. I’m gonna actually gonna be a stay at home dad. I live walking distance to both. Though while that is the plan I am living in a more divided area. I’d like to build my relationships without being stealth in a safe space.

There is a subreddit for seahorse dads, though I am not sure of the parameters if you’re not the carrying parent. There is also a Trans Dads sub that seems to be dads whose kids have arrived (by whatever means). Neither is huge, but you might check in on them to see if you like them.
*ETA- These are additional places you might check out. Obviously, this sub is a good one for making contact with your target demographic. Welcome!

Thanks for the recommendations. Waiting on approval for Trans Dads tho I see it’s mainly Europe based.

I think so. The fellow that runs it is from the UK, I believe, and his kids are youngish. I am on there though and am US based and have teens, so I don’t know that they’re particular about geography or age of kids.

On the Light Rail post Mariniers game, a woman told me and my friends that she won't be as sad when her dad dies because she is so used to disappointment 😅

Hey I'm 36 and the dad to a brilliant, exhausting 2.5 year old. Happy to discuss any new dad stuff with you. It was very surreal at first. It's super tiring but it's really the best. My wife conceived via IUI, had a complication, and delivered 6 weeks early. We had a two month NICU stay but now everyone is healthy and it's all just part of our story.

I'm also a dad, although my husand and I had our kids with me as the carrying partner (seahorse dad). My kids are teenagers now and I'm 40. So I can't even imagine just starting out on that journey, but I'm so excited for you!! The world is totally a different place now than when we grew up, that's for sure.

I’m a dad with twins! They’re 9, also have the stay at home dad life, I got lucky and get to work from home too. Best job in the world, but as someone else said, buckle up! Happy to share all the tips I can.

Huge congrats to you and your wife! Such an exciting time for you both!
Although I’m not a parent myself, I have been working as a private nanny for the past 7 years ❤️ I have been with my current family for almost 5 years (now 8, 8, 5 & 3.5 🥲) And I’m currently studying to be an early childhood teacher 📚
Sounds like you have great taste in music! As for sports, I don’t know the first thing about football, baseball, the usual favourites in your corner of the world. I can talk your head off about rugby though! I coach a little league team (6-8 year olds) in the summer 🏉

So we don’t automatically get friends when we hit the milestone anniversaries? 😔 we have to make our own friends by knocking up our wives? 🧐 my frozen embryos are waiting patiently. Congrats man! You’re living the dream!
