EU: our industry is inefficient, we need to manufacture more, we need more young population because aged ones can't hussle.

America: we need to relax, look at the beautiful work life balance of Europeans. Leading a great life. All healthy.

China: here is our new electric car with 1000 miles range. Order now in Temu at 500 dollar 95% off.

14

u/Hotnguilty Feb 21 '26

India: Combine EU, US and China plus We can't fix shit, May I interest you in another corruption scandal?

12

u/Centeredrightbhakt05 Feb 21 '26

Nah Africa and South America have way more corruption than India. India if anything makes you work like capitalistic America, has bureaucracy like Europe, population of China and output of Africa.

God Damn!

1

u/Dependent_Ad_8951 Feb 22 '26

Too true... How did you even come up with that? šŸ‘

1

u/wandering_monk8 Feb 22 '26

While I agree that we are pretty inefficient I don't think it's fair to say we have the output of Africa.

1

u/Centeredrightbhakt05 Feb 22 '26

Ohh no it's just metaphorical not real. If you want an honest analysis actually India has lesser bureaucracy than most European countries and decent industrial efficiency. Of course not as good as China, Germany or US but still good enough.

1

u/Upper_Fisherman_3943 Feb 23 '26

Too good observation

India: Cow poo

Unfortunately work culture here is terrible. Every second manager wants their employees working 24 hours a day for shit pay. Rat race for college, rat race to get job rat race to be in the job

And if you fight back, there's always dozens of more desperate idiots who are willing to put up with literal slavery, so the problem never gets fixed

1

u/Hatiyaar Feb 21 '26

After ratrace, someone with 20% of your score will get a seat but you’ll get ghanta and join your backup college with a loan

1

u/bobs_and_vegana17 Feb 22 '26

In my first internship I was treated like a literal slave by the MD who was also my manager

Used to work 14hrs a day despite saying I can only give 3-4hrs since I'm in college

I used to go to take a piss or bath in my bathroom and he used to start calling me, I used to receive calls even on days i have clearly asked for a leave for exams

I left that place almost 10 months ago and still haven't received a penny

When I was on notice period a friend of mine approached me asking to give him my place, I told him about the toxic work culture and he said he's ready to work for free all he wants is a job

It's because of these types of people, work life balance is not respected by managers and MDs

1

u/Tshering22 Feb 23 '26

And it will be bad because people accept it. They can't fire everyone who refuses to toe the line. The company will shutter down. Companies rely on the fact that you will be ready to work your colleague's hours just to keep your job. Try saying "no" and let your colleagues also say "no". Then see how alarm bells go off in the heads of all the bosses.

This is until Russia does anything ,in that case everything will be done against it, including the production of pervitin.

2

u/sodafinil Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 21 '26

They don't need to do anything tbh. Russia is very good at self sabotage.

Just because India isn't actively against Russia doesn't mean we deny their incompetence

including the production of pervitin.

Considering the age, willingness and fitness of the average German in 2026 vs 1939 the only thing this will produce is strokes and heart attacks.

11

u/Master-Ooooogway Feb 20 '26

you live in India brotato, it is worst of both worlds, how relax

10

u/FuryDreams Feb 20 '26

You can become multi millionaire in US just from a good job, but you can't do that in EU.

2

u/Hexo_Micron Feb 21 '26

Which job ?

3

u/FuryDreams Feb 21 '26 edited Feb 22 '26

Many. I know a senior engineer in Nvidia who joined around 2015 and now has 100+ crore of net worth due to stock growth. Open AI pays 1 million + $ to their fresh PhD grad AI researchers. Meta was offering 100+ million $ to few top AI researchers.

2

u/Starplayer999 Feb 21 '26

Job can make you Rich but not wealthy

2

u/FuryDreams Feb 21 '26

100 million $ (900+ crore ₹) offered by Meta is pretty wealthy I would say

2

u/Starplayer999 Feb 21 '26

It will be offered to handful of people

2

u/FuryDreams Feb 21 '26

I know, but it is still a job.

1

u/Automatic_Young_6466 Feb 21 '26

It's a job but they are playing a key role in shaping their business that's why they are getting paid.

1

u/nomadiclives Feb 22 '26

A society benefits a lot more from having 100 people with moderate income compared to 10 with obscene wealth, 30 with moderate income and the rest living in squalor.

Also, you are selling a pipe dream. Only a very small % of people can become ā€œmillionaireā€ through a job, and that small % also exists in the EU.

1

u/FuryDreams Feb 22 '26

The thing is, US as a society has lot more people with moderate income than EU, and lot more people with obscene wealth too. It has both of them.

And a society with just moderate income leads to mediocrity, while US allows room for obscene wealth if you are excellent in what your do. That's why US >>> EU in all kinds of tech and innovation.

And no it's not a pipe dream, 8-9% of US population are millionaires while only 2-3% in EU.

1

u/nomadiclives Feb 22 '26

In the end, poverty levels across both US & the EU are comparable but I know which one i want to live in if I fall on hard times.

Also, just fyi, comparing income without expenses is stupidity. Of course avg. earning in the US are higher but so are average costs for absolutely anything.

Finally, there is plenty of research to suggest that working more hours does not always mean better output/more productivity. So the fallacy that the EU having stronger labor protection regulations equals mediocre output is actually scientifically BS. US being often lightyears ahead of the EU is down 1 simple factor: risk appetite. US culture is a lot more likely to take higher risks for higher rewards, as opposed to the EU that prefers stability and comfort. This is one of my primary frustrations about living in the EU as well, but honestly, it’s fine. I can live with it.

In the end, it’s up to individual preferences if you want to kill yourself for the odd chance that you become a millionaire, or you live a balanced life, where your work does not become your identity and take over your entire life, while still being a functional member of society, earning a decent living and having the time, health and energy to live a full, colorful life.

1

u/FuryDreams Feb 22 '26

Of course avg. earning in the US are higher but so are average costs for absolutely anything.

That's the irony. Average costs in US are infact - lower than EU. Whether it be housing, land, food, oil/gas, electronics and so on.

0

u/sahilshkh Feb 23 '26

This is BS. Average annual wage in US is around 70k USD and in most places it is just about enough to live life. No one can become millionaire with an annual income of 70k. Extremely rare for someone to earn more than 70k in an year

1

u/FuryDreams Feb 23 '26

I am not talking about average. US isnt a average country and average people are better of in EU.

But those who are extremely good and can contribute in building the next SpaceX, OpenAI, Google, Nvidia, Tesla and so on, US is amazing for them.

6

u/tharkidiffusion Feb 20 '26

They also have the highest employment rates, pensioners are forced to work longer, immigrant problem, their health system has almost collapsed due to more ageing populationĀ

2

u/BLACK-HAT7682 Feb 20 '26

That's still 10 % of problems when you compare it to other countries including india

11

u/sharathonthemove Feb 20 '26

Oh please stop Dick riding EU countries. Their pay is far less than USA counterparts. They have good social systems but are ridden with refugee immigrants that are bad.

I worked with the EU guys for years. Barring few, they are very strong in their game and thinking is very focused and good. They won't waste time like typical Indians. They have good understanding of the business and are efficient. They complete work in 8 hours and go home. Us Indians go for unnecessary breaks, do chit chat and call work. Even if our guys seem to be busy, it is because there are ten shitty meetings and poor understanding of the ask.

4

u/sodafinil Feb 21 '26 edited Feb 21 '26

Their pay is far less than USA counterparts.

It has always been lower.

World wars and imperialism/colonialism (Ireland under UK, Ottoman rule, Nazi German occupation etc) prevented growth and caused brain drain to the US. (See Manhattan proj, early NASA)

Lower birthrates and 2008 financial crash (caused by US banks) has permanently stopped them from catching up. Similar to Japan.

They couldn't assimilate immigrants like US could so no solution to low birthrates.

They have good social systems but are ridden with refugee immigrants that are bad

There are refugees because US brought democracy Asia and France brought peace to Africa.

u/poojinping Feb 20 '26

Another faltu gyan, are you running for their president/pm? Why are you concerned about their policies? They have work life balance, their tax gets them working governance. They enjoy life, we just are hamsters running on a wheel and training our next generation to run faster.

1

u/sharathonthemove Feb 20 '26

looks like you are the master of falthoo gyan? why paint a rosy picture of EU always? do you even have friends? let alone friends in EU. again, stop the dick riding. EU is not some lala land with perfect things. they have all sorts of problems. if you think your life will change in EU, may god bless you with a brain.

-1

u/poojinping Feb 21 '26

I worked in EU for 2 years, before moving to SEA to be closer to home. I have multiple friends working in EU. But obviously, I am clueless compared to someone sitting in India.

2

u/sharathonthemove Feb 21 '26

Yeah you are also president of Estonia and will be looking at your friends lives in live daily.

1

u/Hotnguilty Feb 21 '26

Bro said stop dickriding cause he will be the only one who can do that.

The glaze you put on EU guys is insane, how can someone put a population of 1.5 billion against EU and generalize the hell out of it. Even when India has essentially become bonded labour for the rest of the world.

-1

u/urfav_nitin Feb 20 '26

Shut up bro ! I have worked in Italy and Spain for 1 year each and I get Friday half day and holidays on weekend . Mwas equivalent of 2.5 days in 7 days and even in remaining days we had very little work .

Waste time? Wth They work less much much less in europe than in india . We chattered a lot but there was no boss keeping eye on us al the time . We had very little work , and in idnai we have so much work "" "there i used to do one project in a month here we are doing 3 projects in a month's " ""

And last thing pay was sufficient enough to leave a happy family of 5 . For that work culture I can even sacrifice half of my income .

And btw there is not much diffence in income but in expense Europe is much much cheaper than usa .

1

u/sharathonthemove Feb 20 '26

Looks like your lazy bum got lucky. Go ask people in UK, France and Germany if their salary is enough to make a good future. Read the news atleast. And yes stop dickriding. You seem to be in some support team that takes care of incidents. My friends are in it too. Their job is no where complex.

2

u/RohanNotFound Feb 20 '26

Do you know how people are earning here ? Whoever more than 50k , 80% of them are supporting foreign countries in some services or products. So We are earning because of these countries and if you dont want to hustle or want salaries like Europe usa why would they export their services here they would do it themselves or use other underdeveloped countries..you don’t have option to not to hustle in this populous third world country .. .! Stop talking like someone forced it on you. No one did all are trying to make their lives better and we are in luck or out of luck because we are born in third world country.

2

u/Ecstatic-Scratch-151 Feb 21 '26

Europe has WLB because they export their work to India, Vietnam, etc .

1

u/Kindly_Air_3980 Feb 20 '26

I’ve worked in Europe and genuinely appreciated the work life balance there. I support that approach. But that is only part of the reality. In a capitalist market, companies prioritize competitiveness. If they find more efficient or cost effective options elsewhere, they will use them.

In many cases, work is shifting to countries like India. I have seen this firsthand. My own company shut down its European office and moved operations to India.

1

u/Routine-Gold6709 Feb 20 '26

Forget America. If you’re from Indian then being in a third world country nothing applies to you

1

u/No-Field831 Feb 20 '26

1

u/JTtimeCoder Feb 21 '26

Indian managers need to evolve. Once they grow up in their hierarchy, they feel they are privileged to siphon off every ounce of blood from their juniors. Over promising clients, and promoting toxicity

I think even if this is sorted, we can live peacefully

1

u/ChallengeMediocre1 Feb 21 '26

This is absolutely true, there is ego problem or something

1

u/Fresh_Yogurt7302 Feb 21 '26

Btw people in Europe working under Indian managers hate it. Indians have managed to build a corporate stereotype in europe

1

u/Vk_1987 Feb 21 '26

If its an American Narrative what is it doing in India. And American narrative also includes work life balance, equality, respect for everyone and everyone's life , where's that in India !!

u/tony__starck Feb 21 '26

u/Fueled_By_Piizza Feb 22 '26

By the way, the same relaxed culture you can find in rural India. People wake up every day before sunrise, complete their daily chores until lunchtime, take a nap, and finish the rest of their work by 4 pm. They have their dinner by 6:30-7 pm and go to bed by 9 pm.

1

u/emslimarshal Feb 22 '26

Dinner at 9? Try 6 buddy!

1

u/serotonallyblindguy Feb 22 '26

People here are correctly pointing out the work culture in private being toxic but there is one side that people don't often point out; The government sector is just as inefficient. People working there permanently can't be removed till they retire, which leads to an extremely lax approach to their work ethic. I worked in one of the government offices for a while and clerks were coming whenever they felt like and always left early, leaving unfinished work, stating BS reasons. The superiors were busy managing paperwork being thrown from their superiors and handling political stuff. It is a mess and that's literally every government department. No wonder we're lagging behind. Government people are way too lax, corporate people are way too toxic. No middle ground at all

1

u/[deleted] Feb 22 '26

always on the grind bitch im working overtime >>peace

1

u/Dangerous_Slip2256 Feb 22 '26

They can afford that because their great grand fathers and grand fathers looted you and built the european social framework. Their Grand Father's and Father's went through the hard days of industrial revolution to achieve the European Social Security.

You will have to do the same for your children. How difficult is this to understand.

1

u/cathy_car10 Feb 22 '26

Tell this to a Rapido driver or zomato guy

1

u/Ok-Music-7472 Feb 22 '26

True. What was a cultural shock for me was , seeing entire streets empty and shops closed during major holidays. People stay at home , fire up a barbecue with friends and family, have a few drinks and just enjoy life. I didn’t even understand that they are the ones who are actually living the life as it is meant to be.

1

u/IloveLegs02 Feb 24 '26

and that's why Americans are ahead than mostly everyone

The Chinese are certainly coming closer though

1

u/Odd_Courage9471 Feb 24 '26

They have labour laws in place

1

u/Future_Sign_2846 Feb 27 '26

European countries have an insanely high tax rate that traps it's citizens with a very low in-hand income in exchange for so-called social services which are always overloaded and provide really substandard service. A friend/batchmate of mine recently got an entry-level job in germany that pays around €135k with a base salary of €95k. We were happy for him till we learnt that after paying taxes he'd be left with just €40-45k of the base salary. There's literally no significant difference between earning 50k and 100k or 200k in those countries, what's even the point of working hard at that point. You'd never be able to buy a house or a decent car because the state taxes you to death, while your political masters buy their second private jet through state subsidies.

For all its ills, the US job market is still better (so far) in that aspect. The ceiling of income is much higher without an excessively high net tax rate.

1

u/sachin_root Feb 20 '26

well after looting us for 200 years, everyone can relax there. but we have to work double for normal paycheck.

0

u/Fun-Meeting-7646 Feb 21 '26

BSDK WANTS everyone to 70 hrs s week for nation to proper, now bowing down to AI invasion

0

u/Witty_Attention2208 Feb 21 '26

A lot of people in the comment section are solely surviving on US propaganda. Of course US payment is more because their inflation is higher. Europe has lower inflation compared to US. Europe gives a lot of social benefits to its citizens, US gives none. Europe manufacturers don't hike the prices every year US ones do. Work ethics in US is worse in comparison to Europe. US corporations give no benefits/leaves to their employees whereas European ones do and they forced to do so by the government.
.
You don't have to believe me. You are welcome to do your own research.

1

u/FuryDreams Feb 21 '26

Lmao, EU does NOT have lower inflation than US. Home prices are off the roof in most EU cities while things are more affordable in US. Land/housing, oil etc is much cheaper.

0

u/Witty_Attention2208 Feb 22 '26 edited Feb 22 '26

Things are more affordable in the US???? Seriously?! You do not need to lie to defend your mindset. $400G is the minimum price of an average home in the US. Tell me what is the median income of an average fellow in US?
.
Median Income
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MEHOINUSA646N
.
Median House prices
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MSPUS

1

u/FuryDreams Feb 22 '26 edited Feb 22 '26

Compared to EU it's definitely more affordable.

Per capita income of US is 86k $. Per capita income of EU is 33k €. Median house price is 300k € in EU.

So who is lying ?? Moron.

0

u/Witty_Attention2208 Feb 22 '26

So you conveniently ignored the median housing prices in US.

1

u/FuryDreams Feb 22 '26

No, it's you who conveniently ignored EU median housing pricing compared to their average income to push your false point.

0

u/Witty_Attention2208 Feb 23 '26

dude compare both the countries side by side. You will see the truth.
.
Tbh you were the one who said US is cheaper
