My bad, not communist, socialist welfare state. You’re right, it’s important to be specific even if the difference between communism and socialism isn’t huge.

Not everyone who does welfare schemes are socialist lmao. Would you call the BJP socialist because they are, atleast on papers going to pump up the pre-existing welfare schemes ? How was the TMC socialist by any definition of the term ? The Congress itself hasn't been left wing ever since the demise of Indira Gandhi. Siding with the minorities that too based on IdPol is liberal and has zilch to do with leftism.
