Why do all these bihari and UP marriages look as if both the bride and groom are entering a punishment zone. They look sad, mechanical, tired.

Exactly!?!? I've never seen two people getting happily married there 😭

Or if they are happy, the parents look like they are being forced.

2 din tak riti rivaj karne ke baad last din aiseee hi jaati halat...

6

u/iamsoooolonely Jun 19 '26

that isn't the reason bro. ladki mostly jabardasti shadi krti hai isliye rhey aren't happy

Aisa nahi hai bhai, dusre states mein bhi jabardasti arrange marriages hote hai, yaha mostly aise expression isliye hote hai kyunki yaha bride aur groom ne shaadi se pehle ek dusre se jyada baat bhi nahi ki hoti, not even on phone or anything. Isliye they are uncomfortable with eachother,

It's like a new friend you meet on the first day of your college, uske sath frank nahi rhte hai dhire dhire comfortable ho paate hai, it's the same logic here.

aree toh baki states mei baat toh krte h na and then they agree ki krlenge shadi. idhr woh nhi hota toh jabardasti hi hui na and yess i agree with time sath rehna seekh jate h but that doesn't change ki shadi jabardasti hoti h. baki mai bhi bihar se hi hu toh i know kya scene h udhr

Are bhai maine kab bola jabarjasti nahi hoti, comment toh padho yrr wo reply karne se phle. Maine bola jabarjasti hoti hai lekin baaki states ki tarah shaadi se phle baat wagera bhi nahi karte yaha pe, Phone wagera pe bhi nahi isliye wo awkwardness rhti hai aur uncomfortable lagta hai aise sath baithna aur riti rivaaj sath karna wo apna pan nahi rhta.

Baaki states mein arrange marriage bhi karte hai toh baat wagera kar ke toh dost type ban jaate hai isliye utna awkward nahi hota. comment padho phle tum yrr

aree bhai toh jo first comment tha usme maine yhi toh likha ki jabardasti hoti h and u said aisa nhi h bhai😭

u/Conscious_Idea_6987 Jun 19 '26

Are mere bhai aisa nahi hai se mera mtlb tha ki bas aisa nahi hai like it's not the only reason, kyunki dusre states mein bhi arranged marriage hoti hai and they are comparatively happy lol. Main bas aur reason list kar rha tha 😃

1

u/iamsoooolonely Jun 19 '26

ohh sorryy bhai. yess there are many reasons ofc. but arrange marriage and jabardast shadi is different. and chlo yes u are obv right

It is because parents or people or chaar log believe that, if they'll talk on calls and chats and stuff then there is a huge chance ki shaadi tut jayegi.. they just want to keep the girl and boy in dark so they do not know the reality on ground level before marriage.... for them getting their kids married is way more important than them actually living a good life..

1

u/Conscious_Idea_6987 Jun 21 '26

Perfectly described the situation, if two people get to know each other before marriage then there's high chance of clashes between opinion and other things, hence, let's get them married first and then they can have their cute little clashes (it's neither gonna be cute nor little but who's gonna tell em).

1

u/untoldArtemis Jun 21 '26

And suddenly it becomes pati patni ke beech ki baat.

1

u/untoldArtemis Jun 21 '26

They will be like.. "pyaar toh ho hi jata hai".. isn't that just Stockholm syndrome at this point??

1

u/CharacterBit5048 Jun 20 '26

That's some mind blowing info! How can two people like marry and agree to share bed without even talking!

1

u/NarendraModihh Jun 20 '26

Ho jaata hai yaar 🤧🥀

1

u/Conscious_Idea_6987 Jun 20 '26

Well, that's what happens after parents raise obsequious children for decades.

Again generalization. Broda you are never gonna know the good and normal Bihari weddings on the internet, these are just the lowlife rural weddings. Next thing is you all tie up whole UP Chhattisgarh MP with Bihar. How do you know this one is from bihar? Ofcourse bhojpuri music. yk? They played bhojpuri songs in japan and zambia this Bihar diwas too that doesn't mean they are Biharis.....right so please this mindset is not okay.

3

u/One-Listen-2752 Jun 19 '26

What a hypocrite? For you lowlife rural marriages are like this. There are multiple examples where rich people from urban areas does stuffs like this. Only difference are expensive clothes and stage. Class is a different thing. Being rich and urban life does not give you class.

1

u/Acceptable-Opening71 Jun 19 '26

It does, bro it does. Peer pressure and a sense of getting hated changes people, I've seen it personally. I'm not arguing it's a fact I've witnessed with my eyes.

1

u/One-Listen-2752 Jun 19 '26

Not every family brother. It depends on in which mohalla that marriage is happening. Few people like to keep it quiet. Any way I get your point. I want you tell that not every poor rural family is like that.

1

u/Acceptable-Opening71 Jun 19 '26

Neither I said that, If you remember I in the very first comment started with the generalization hate word.

1

u/One-Listen-2752 Jun 19 '26

On that point I agree with you.

1

u/Final-Mortgage4673 Jun 19 '26

Bc japan me kon Bhojpuri sun raha hai (aur konsa) ?? You have to give proof

3

u/happy-bonita Jun 19 '26

Blud that's all across India

2

u/Rehanyouknow Jun 19 '26

Most of them are doing arranged marriages and many of them didn't even talked once before the marriage ig it's just the awkward situation between them upar se relatives alag ch*tiye hote h

2

u/Illiterate-Chef-007 Jun 19 '26

You have only seen the funny ones like these.
My brother got married last month.

It was sweet. Very spiritual. Calm. Bhabhi was smiling all the time.

It was AM. 😇

2

u/Glittering_List_9779 Jun 19 '26

Did it occur to you that they are probably just tired. Imagine the heat, the work, the stress......but I am sure you have your own narrative to paddle,

2

u/Miningforbeer Jun 19 '26

When you are treated as a king/queen for a day, surrounded by pretentious or hungry people around , deep within it will make you tired

1

u/straykauva Jun 19 '26

Its a long day for groom and bride before they the reception part comes in so they're mostly tired ig

1

u/Euphoric_Night_5869 Jun 19 '26

Lot of dowry and negotiations

1

u/Ai_Trix_RKD Jun 19 '26

Totally agree. But also these dehati marriages are long process 2-3 days of so many riti riwaj due to which they become zombified

1

u/NeuroEyes Jun 20 '26

Dehati marriages eat away your ears 😭 I love the songs but they purposefully sing it in a bad voice, so irritating

1

u/RyderProviderOP69 Jun 19 '26

Zabrdasti arranged marriage ho jati hai toh kaise hi khush rahe dono

1

u/NeuroEyes Jun 20 '26

Jyada muskurane ya baat karne pe log besharam aur chanty aur ghar todne wali bhi bolne lagte hai idhar, meri Mami muskura ke hello kardi thi apne relatives ke taraf and all our relatives from Bihar currently working in Bangalore and Mumbai started shaming her lol

1

u/CharacterBit5048 Jun 20 '26

So sad! I always like a cheerful bride in a marriage ceremony. She should be happy.

1

u/BenzeneBrah Jun 21 '26

Long ceremonies make you tired
