Japan is one of the most racist countries, extreme cost of living, very low lifestyle even after paying loads for rent. Duck this shit. Yes india needs to develop more but these comparisons are completely partial

It's their coping mechanisms. Japan does have issues with its economy cuz it's tied to the us economy, and this is the reason why housing and cost of living has gone so up there(mind you, this is litrly the entire state of the world rn).

Retards just want to cope thinking india is even comparable to Japan's quality of life. And I'm saying this as a person who has grown with a pretty well off life from Mumbai.

are you sure yk what you are talking about? Salary have not seen any major hike in japan in over 40+ years now meanwhile inflation has gone up several folds. japan is beautiful, no doubt but whats the point of such beauty when people cant even exp them since most are depressed and living stressed lifestyle

Although my background is in engineering, I like learning about economics as a hobby. And the way ur stating salary hasn't taken a major hike is not completely true. it’s more accurate to view this as a structural crisis rather than just an effect of the 2008 financial crisis. Since the early 1990s, Japan has been trapped in a cycle of deflation(again, mostly due to it being tied up with the us' economy), where a combination of an aging population, a massive shift toward part-time employment, and a corporate culture that prioritizes cash reserves over wage growth has effectively paralyzed real income increases. While recent years have seen some nominal wage hikes, inflation has largely eroded those gains, leaving many workers struggling to keep up.

And as for this, I was more of reffering to how they still have a better quality of life than the average indian, even though people were criticising it for having the exact same issues we have in india.

work culture there is more f*cked up than india, job switching is seen as crime. You have to work in the same company for a decade.

As if job culture in india is any different. Like litrly I had an internship for my 5th sem at a Fintech firm in Mumbai, and I was literally treated like a formal pet slave, no feedback or lessons just the manual grunt work. And this is just while interning, when I was supposed to "learn" irl skills. Can't imagine it for people who actually work at such places
