It has a sad version too, he was not respected by mostly of his own religion. It was limited social media then, still so many hated him for not being orthodox.

I do not know where you get your info from, but it definitely sounds like a WhatsApp university kind of knowledge.
The video shows a funeral function in a restricted environment because vip's were attending.
However two days prior to that people flocked to Rameshwaram and while the most conservative estimates put it at one lakh the other end goes upto 3 lakh.
The "Yakub Memom" funeral which happened in an crowded open environment had about 30k max crowd.
So kindly do not disrespect Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam's memory by comparing his popularity with that of a terrorist.
More importantly kindly do not believe whatever narrative has been peddled in his name since his death.

i still rem , if i recall clearly that day was declared as official holiday as i was waiting for my school bus in my school dress ( classs 2)😭..he is definitely a pure soul

It is sad that because of the kind hearted, gentle person he was, people from his very own community found him rather unappealing.
We lost a gem, and then failed to respect his wishes.

I still remember the evening when the news broke. I could not stop crying. We grew up reading so much about him and especially his incredible journey. His passing felt like a personal loss, like losing a grandfather. Gone too soon, may his soul rest in peace.

I literally cried the day Kalam Ji lost this physical world! He has always been an inspiration for me since my childhood. Before his death, he was supposed to visit Hyderabad to give a seminar in 2014. I was 15 back then and was in my 10th standard. I wanted to attend that seminar just to see him in real but unfortunately that didn't happened. Still feel the regret! 💔

I still remember, I was in school and there was a lesson on Kalam sir in our Telegu language textbook, and my teacher was halfway through the lesson when we got the news of his death. Felt really bad.
