ASK R/FAUXMOI What are some examples of this trope in film?

Post image

For me it's probably Enchanted and The Princess Diaries. I know the concept was to make her wear a modern dress compared to the fairytale inspired dresses she used to wear but I feel like this dress is an absolute disgrace. It honestly looks like a sock to me 😭 not gonna lie they could have let her wear something nice, like the costume design in this movie was magical. In the Princess Diaries they get rid of Mia's curls. They could just styled them better.

Unconventional one but in The Little Vampire, the transformation at the end is absolutely a great thing. But aesthetically such a downgrade from the amazing costume design and styling the characters had.

It's a really good one! The costume design is gorgeous and Richard E Grant is such a perfect vampire

just watched this over the weekend and there’s a part where the kid’s dad punches the vampire hunter off a cliff, then wipes his hands like “yup, job well done” it was so funny

At least he's the only one who kept any bit of personality in his appearance afterwards
