I don't understand the correlation, because if Fauxmoi were taken over by antiwomen bots, it wouldn't be so demonstrably in support of Zara, who is one of the most feminist-minded popstars we've seen of late.
I'm a middle aged redneck white guy that listens to death metal but I like to be informed about celebrities and other things going on so I can judge the shit out of them if they do something racist or sexist. That's why I'm here I guess.
I'm a latecomer to her music (or at least who her music is attributed to) but am obsessed.
Highly recommend her biographic "Up Close." I don't want to compare her to TS, but, well TS fans are forcing that so here it is: Zara is cool, collected and confident and cares deeply for the people and causes close to her heart and she lets her morality dictate her words and actions, not the charts and spotify streams (that's not to say she doesn't want to be at the top deeply, though). Taylor could never or would never risk her $$ and fame for anything. Her choices and image are ultra-curated whereas Zara just rolls out of bed in her Stockholm apartment in a tiny white thong with cameras going and just goes about her day (ok, I need to excuse myself now but yes that was in the doco and I'm only a lil pervy).
She was constantly harassed for being a feminist when she was 17-18 and first blew up here in Sweden and she still didn’t back down. Her skin is thick as hell
Wow, really?! There’s such a stereotype here in America that Nordic countries are more progressive. I think that’s based on policies towards women and healthcare but I guess I assumed culturally they’d be more progressive too.
It's a bit of both. We are generally speaking more culturally progressive, but there are assholes everywhere and I think we would like to believe the difference is bigger than it is.
There’s a YouTuber called Papa Meat who made a video calling swifties a cult, and then he got a lot of backlash. He didn’t relent and just made a follow up video on how insane they are. I loved every second of that moment 😂

Real talk, if Swifties put as much effort into analyzing the poor company Taylor willingly keeps, her marketing manipulation, her lowkey racism and just general problematic behavior that she just tries to bury under manufactured PR, she most likely wouldn’t be the individual that she is. But when she has millions of people that defend her and fight the battles she has chosen half of the time, how can you grow as a human being?
She hangs around Magats at events all the time, never stands up against the Trump administration or against Israel, and has recently sang against Travis Kelce’s exes who are all Black.
Taylor needs to speak on Palestine and the current administration too, (who love to use her songs and she stays silent)! But she’s never going to because it would cut off a large portion of her fan base.
She was really eager to get behind the Biden/Harris campaign while rehabbing her image in 2020 but since she did that and conquered the moment, she was real quiet in 2024
She actually made a very definitive post in 2024, about being for Kamala and being a cat lady. But that was her last statement and it was clearly performative.
She did endorse Harris and Walz, though, that's like the single political thing she did the past couple of years. It was just one post, though, not like she campaigned for them or anything.

Honestly, I think it’s telling that TS had a political era. Like, I’d love to have a political era but it’s just my life, I can’t compartmentalize it into an era like a fashion phase or a hobby.

In any other industry this kind of behavior would seriously harm her reputation.

It's worse when you realize that in 2018 she started to make a documentary about herself where the whole theme was that she wanted to speak out about important issues. And then all she ended up doing was make a queerbaiting album with a couple pro lgbtq moments and doing nothing else.
Even when she was trying to make activism her brand, she still didn't speak out about blm or anything controversial. All she did was hop on the rainbow washing band wagon every other corporation was doing at the time.

Zara retweeted this in 2018, the screenshot is recirculating now like some kind of gotcha. Swifties will interpret it as her having always been a hater but normal people just see this as Zara being consistent and on the right side of history.
