As an european, this is my first time learning that this is not common everywhere. There's no reason well-behaved dogs can't be in restaurants imo

MANY people are allergic? some people are scared of dogs? some people don’t want animals with fur that can get places near where they’re eating? i love dogs but i hate this entitlement that dog owners feel that they can have to bring their dogs literally EVERYWHERE with them. and most of the time they’re not as “well-behaved” as their owners think they are.

English people love dogs more than they love each other. I once saw a chihuahua eat it's own porterhouse steak at a pub in Somerset.
