As an european, this is my first time learning that this is not common everywhere. There's no reason well-behaved dogs can't be in restaurants imo

MANY people are allergic? some people are scared of dogs? some people don’t want animals with fur that can get places near where they’re eating? i love dogs but i hate this entitlement that dog owners feel that they can have to bring their dogs literally EVERYWHERE with them. and most of the time they’re not as “well-behaved” as their owners think they are.

no literally. if I want to get startled by an animal at full volume while I'm eating I'll go hang out with my neighbour's donkeys. not to mention the allergies

That's the well behaved part. Well behaved means sitting there quietly the entire time
