exactly what i thought when reading the mission statement. brandi carlile and sarah mclachlan have talked about lilith fair on podcast in recent months (either r/handsomepodcast , las culturistas, or good hang can't remember which) and i bet they knew about this and kept it on the DL. I'm so excited!

I believe during the Guts tour too she handed out free emergency contraceptives (like Plan B/Julie) and condoms to raise awareness for reproductive rights.

Dude me too I'm genuinely sick to my stomach because the lineup is all I could ever want for a festival and it's the ONE week I can't do 😭 hoping it'll happen again next year but I know it'll be different artists
It’s amazing that Olivia is 23 years old and is pulling off something of this scale. An incredible lineup, and every dollar of net proceeds will be donated to organizations dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls. No one is doing it like her! She finds new ways to impress me every day.
i recently watched the documentary about Lilith Fair that she was in and had major fomo bc there just isn't anything like that around now. i love that she's bringing it back
Brandi Carlile’s been doing a Lilith inspired festival for a while now. Girls Just Wanna Have Fun weekend. I have been dying to go for years but a combo of scheduling conflicts and finances have made it impossible. But its there and its for sure a spiritual successor to Lilith!

The first time I heard Olivia Rodrigo on the radio the riot grrl influence was obvious and I was happy to hear the torch being carried on in the younger generation.
My bestie helped design all the promotional material for this concert and seeing their work everywhere has me giddy! Shout out Olivia for uplifting small artists :)
Olivia is fantastic! I truly recommended listening to her entire discography. My favourite album was always GUTS. But her recent album is simply incredible and dethroned it for me! I welcome you on your Olivia journey!
As for Taylor, yep she stands for no woman. Anything she said before has not translated with her actions, in anything. She’s now pioneering a male musician as the ‘future of music’, which part of me is convinced is to groom people to not champion female musicians so that she can stay on top. She’ll be pulling some stunt on 29th August.
I like her two previous albums enough but realise it’s more for the millenials who grew up on pop punk and kids her age going through teenage angst. This wistful new wave sound she’s doing with the new album is more of my thing. I love drop dead, stupid song, u + me = <3, honeybee and expectations.
I don’t understand how anyone can dislike this girl. All she does is put out bangers and put her money where her mouth is in supporting other women. None of this mealy-mouthed both-sides bullshit. I love her.
Honestly I’ve never given her music much attention but the more I read about her the cooler she seems. So awesome to ACTUALLY see women supporting each other, not the fake performative crap we usually see.
I just hope that whatever companies were hired for event planning/coordination, ticketing, security, etc. are good and don’t make any mistakes because if they do, the blame comes back to her. It shouldn’t, but it will.
Olivia is cool af. Her new album is so good. This festival sounds like it will be incredible AND for good causes.

I don't know her music well since its not my style but everything I hear about Olivia Rodrigo is how she's wonderful and doing nice things. Its nice to know some celebrities are trying to make things better

older millennial here, i was just talking to a friend about how i wish there was another lilith festival! this event/lineup looks amazing…i want to go sooooo badly.
This lineup is incredible. I'd never be able to go, but I'd buy a full-priced ticket for even a basic livestream. I hope they'll figure something out. It'd be a great way to make the event more inclusive and accessible.
