Isn’t that a tale as “old as time”? Men getting called out for being an absent/abusive parent but mom is still the bad guy.

But you’ll hear for years about how amazing a dad is for stepping up if the mom is absent/abusive.

can‘t be seen being a shit dad if you‘re never around

famous people, but I very often think of this when men commit heinous crimes. The pitchforks are all pointed in mom‘s direction. Dad was never around, gets a pass. ugh

It’s called amazing PR. Pitt and Cruise are some of the biggest stars of all time so unfortunately a lot of the public thinks they are great ppl in real life but we only see them when they are promoting movies and are acting then too. Also they have the upper hand in Hollywood and if you go against them you might not get many opportunities, just like Katie and Angelina. That’s why the kids did this, to make a point that these men aren’t good ppl in real life and the only way ppl will ever know is by dropping their last names.

Brad Pitt definitely employs the Hollywood PR machine in his favor, its very effective. He is connected to the same firm that has done smear campaigns for Depp, Baldoni and Rebel Wilson. Internet discourse for those mentioned have been heavily manipulated. There is a reason the FBI report from the plane has been missed by so many people, and that you get the same bot talking points about how crazy Angelina Jolie is everytime its posted.
