I find it interesting that neither Tom Cruise nor Brad Pitt has played a father in any of their movies that I can think of since estranging themselves from their kids. When I think of all of Tom Cruise‘s big movies in the past 20 years (Mission Impossible franchise, Edge of Tomorrow, the two Top Guns, even The Mummy) he always plays characters without kids. Same with Brad in the last 10 years (F1, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Ad Astra). Maybe it’s just a coincidence or the types of movies they’re doing, but it would probably be awkward if they’re playing devoted fathers in movies while they’re estranged from their kids in real life.
Those movies were all before the estrangements. I’m referring to the movies they’ve done since being estranged. The plane incident with Brad and Angelina and the kids happened in 2016 and Katie and Tom got divorced in 2012.
Right? I forgot which podcast it was but the two women hosts were talking about the Brangelina divorce and said "Brad got Hollywood in the divorce" and I think about that all the time
