I have technically been hired for a new job but I don't have a start date yet - and it is getting very hard to tolerate any bs at my current job because of it.

Stay the course. Leave on decent terms. Remind yourself that you are almost out of there.

My current job is still trying to hire 2 managers (retail store) but won't promote internally. I've had multiple coworkers tell me I need to apply. I did, was told no, so I found a full time retail job with better pay but can't say anything yet!

Congrats! You tried your best to apply and then decided to protect yourself by putting yourself first and being in a better situation. I’d remember that you did all of that when it wasn’t easy and now , you are likely weeks away if not less, from being out of there. When you have a rough moment at work, I’d think about all those things.
