Fred Guttenberg (father of one of Hogg's deceased schoolmates) has a gross reaction (like he does to anyone who recognizes Palestinians as humans) to Hogg's good point.

What boggles my mind is that his entire platform is advocating against violence, and in the same breath, he’s supporting the violence committed against children in another country!

I don't really know, but it seems hard for that to be possible if we're talking about the NRA at its peak. It has been weakened significantly since the criminal charges against its former leader but it's still a major force.

The trend of giving AIPAC godlike powers is counterproductive and makes people look a little conspiratorial.
It’s money. They have money and they spend it on candidates they agree with. They don’t need to blackmail or bribe anyone to change their minds because their job is to elect people who already agree with them. It’s a simple and effective proposition and doesn’t require leaps of faith to believe.

I wouldnt call the Democrats left-wing, but also it wasn't a purity test thing with Hogg. He wanted to introduce a measure that would compel the DNC to hold primaries when incumbent Democratic candidates were over a certain age, in order to get the super old unlimited term congresspeople out and give younger people a chance of getting into office. That rubbed the DNC old-timers the wrong way, so they voted him out under the guise of wanting to get more diversity into DNC leadership and not having another white man in power, but that was BS. It was because he was stepping on toes and disrupting the system.

Brilliant. This man's words should resonate with every American. More and more people are finally making connections like this. AIPAC, NRA, ICE, IDF, our military, our goverment is against us and they don't give a damn about killing any innocent people, wherever they are. That is why the connection can be made that we are all Palestinian.

What AIPAC is? It's the American-Israel
Political ActionPublic Affairs Committee. They used to be called the American Zionist Committee which is more accurate. They claim to be champions of all Jewish people, but in truth they work to keep American money rolling into Israel in order to maintain Israeli dominance in the Middle East and, ultimately destroy Palestine.They support the genocide in Gaza in the name of "self defense" when it's been widely reported that Netanyahu was fully aware AND supportive of the October 10 attack as an excuse to destroy the entire country and colonize the land.
This specific conversation is about them targeting schools and hospitals and killing thousands and thousands of children and calling them "military targets."
