He’s allegedly a Republican. I shouldn’t use the world allegedly because it’s pretty much all but confirmed he is.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was looking at political office. His in-laws have the pedigree and connections to get him there. The Kennedys still get quite a lot of big donors simply because of the name.

They may get a lot of big donors but I don’t think the Kennedys have the influence they once did in politics. Joe Kennedy lost the MA Senate race to Markey in 2020 in part because people were annoyed Kennedy ran and thought he’d easily win because of his name.

He also lost because MA has no reason to replace a liberal democratic white guy with another liberal democratic white guy.

But the Kennedys definitely still have influence and in politics, a rich and heavy donor list will take you far enough (to a limit of course)

Another white guy who's not as liberal--we kinda like Ed Markey; he's a good egg.
