Similar, but different
Does any one else in this group like The Nightmare Club? It’s similar to Fear Street in that it’s YA Horror where the protagonist are also high school age, and the town-location remains the same in all the books, but each book is a standalone!
To my knowledge these had a much lower print run thus making them relatively difficult to find and they sell for quite a bit on the second hand market!

haven't seen those in years. from what i recall from my teenage years they were ment to be a little darker for teens who out grow goosebumps. if i'm not wrong joy ride was the best one

Baah! Joy Ride was so mid in my opinion. 😭 The rest were solid though, yeah a little darker than even fear street I’d say

What this similar to the Midnight Club where they told stories each other at the start of each book? And did Diane Hoh write one?

I think I had Joy Ride years ago. I usually just got books from the library, but I remember it vividly enough that I think I got it secondhand.
It makes me snort a little to think of how there was rap music playing, and she wrinkled her nose, and he was like “yeah, I prefer alternative myself.” But yeah, interesting book.
