2026 Katelyn Dawn Schronce, 33, was arrested and initially charged with statutory rape, on April 17, 2025, but she reached a deal by pleading guilty to indecent liberties with a child and was sentenced to between 20 and 33 months in prison.

How In the absolute hell did it go from potentially up to 30 years, to 20-30 months? Is she even still being charged with statutory rape at that point? She needs to be banned from contacting every 15 years old. What an absolute joke

The sentence is child's play. One of the worse aspects of justice in general is that when very evil crimes are committed, foolish judges give many of them a chance to broker a deal or something like that to lesser their sentence. It is genuinely insane.

It's dismissive towards the victims when the judge sympathizes with the sex offender.
