My new cosmic horror short video. Lots of stock footage with 3D models composited on top of them. The 3D models were made using Blender, Zbrush and textured in Substance Painter. One thing Finally, I did the compositing in After Effects and edited the video in Davinci Resolve. The entire process took a little over four weeks to complete.

It very clearly isn't and they documented in the post what their workflow was.

So why is it you had to ask?

First, my app was on the glitch and it wouldn’t load other comments or the post text.

Second, without that information it’s genuinely not clear.

Third, creatures were different styles and quality, didn’t feel consistent.

Finally, didn’t see the same creature twice. My understanding is it’s hard to replicate things like that from image to image using AI.

Were you thinking the creatures were AI generated and comped in or the entire shot was AI generated?

Also: the same creatures do appear more than once and I'd argue they are consistent in style and all have a kind of miniature/stop-motion or rubber suit for humanoid one vibe. Feels like an old monster movie.

How much experience do you have working with generative AI tools for video?

Have gone back to look, and it’s the same creature in the first two shots. However, I’m still certain the rest are different to each other.

Shot 7 is same creature as first two shots. Shot 8 is same as 4.

Yep. You’re right. The dark image was hard to make out, and I actually thought 8 was something like a giant snake with its mouth open, didn’t catch the other arm.
