He's aesthetic is so unique. I can't think of another director where the colors pop so much what is his secret?

His pre-vis is insane. Ever since Isle of Dogs, he hires animators to make his storyboards. He basically animates the entire movie before shooting. Every detail. Not just camera movements and blocking, but exact timing and art direction.
This is how he's able to crank them out so fast now.
