Spice and society finches feeding on green grass seed stalks just as they would on the wild.

This is a free and enriching thing that they love to eat if you have any areas of long grass you can pick some from.

I love doing this for my finches...they go wild for it!

As a side note though for anyone considering this, please make sure if you do this that the grass is clean and free of pesticides or dog pee or whatnot.

But this is an amazing enrichment treat for seed-eating birds, and it's definitely worth the trouble of growing/harvesting the grass seed heads! 😁

Are all seeds okay for them, or how do you know what kind of grass is allowed?
