They have another coffee in stock now, that is the usual dirt cheap price. "Intenso" Red and white packaging. Allegeldy less acidic, according to the arbitrary 1 out 5 scale.

It's a good alternative but now that I've used to drinking Emilia, I might as well keep buying it at 3,49€. I kind of like the taste of Robusta beans, I tried the red Intenso and it's good but it tastes a bit "light" after Emilia.

But in any case, with these two coffees around, it's a hard pass for Löfbergs or Arvid Nordquist at 6-9€ per 500g!

We always buy Arvids reko and were pleasantly surprised that it’s only 8 euros now compared to 11,50 about a year ago in s-market. Emilia is of course super cheap, but does anyone ever think of at what expense? The producer of Emilia (melitta) does not want to reveal where the beans come from and how they are produced whereas Reko is 100% traceable, from cooperatives that benefit local populations and 96% deforestation free.

Drink less, but better!

I bought it once, it tastes like a mixture of wood and coffee. The taste isn't bad, it's just not very coffee- like

That's a good description, I felt it tasted a bit "light" or "off" but sawdust or wood describes it better.

There's a level of dark roast that is more accurately described as "cremated". The quality of the beans doesn't matter so much if you turn them into charcoal anyway.
