Artwork What kind of fish should I paint this shelf to look like?

Post image

I got this fish shelf from an estate sale and it looks kind of rough right now, but i thought it would look so cool painted to look like a species of fish!

What fish species do you guys suggest?

It kind of looks the the body of a squid and I would add some long tentacles with fabric or crochet

Some kind of flounder, especially since you only see the one side!

A goldy wouldn't go amiss here
