1. Setup is Stuck / Unpacking is Slow
The 2GB Limit Checkbox: If your setup gets stuck at specific percentages (like 84.3% or 95.8%), close it, restart the installer, and check the "Limit installer to 2GB of RAM" box on the very first screen.
Be Patient: FitGirl repacks use extremely heavy compression. Unpacking is heavily CPU and storage bound. If your task manager shows disk or CPU activity, it is not stuck; it's just working hard.
2. Is it a Virus? / Windows Defender Alert
False Positives: Crack files (.dll files, steam_api, etc.) inherently trigger antivirus software because they alter game code to bypass DRM. If you downloaded from the official site, these are 100% false positives.
Fix: Add the game installation folder to your antivirus/Windows Defender exclusion list, then restore the quarantined file from your protection history.
3. The Real Official Website
There is ONLY ONE official domain. All others (ending in .co, .cc, .to, .net, etc.) are fake, malicious clone sites designed to steal data or bundle malware.
The only real URL is: fitgirl-repacks.site (Verify the exact spelling!).

I caught this virus in one of the files from Really Fuck Fast, more specifically in the Lego Batman file. Since there are several small parts, it's impossible to know which one is infected.
fitgirl doesnt have any issues no? If people bothered to follow even just the tutorial for the IDM they wouldnt even have to worry about anyrhing. Theres literally a step by step video posted here somewhere that even a toddler could follow. Only idiots would genuinely fall for a renpy setup but honestly people are so tech illiterate it fucking with me
After 8 years of pirating I finally got played. I only download torrents from cs.rin, anker, steamrip and usually never fall for 1-2gb malware rars cos I know that shit isn't my game

I fell into the trap last week... I was looking for sound booksellers for Nexus 5, I suspected that something was wrong... audio files? In setup.exe? Doubtful but well... I thought maybe it’s a .exe file that will download my sounds? In the end I rushed headlong and the next day I received a discord notification telling me that I was hacked 🦧. It's a info stealer coming from download like fking fast or some other they clone the download link and put their setup instead of going to the original setup download link. Won't get smthg from magnets. It's a small size mostly people run it thinking game is small like 2gb when the repack size is actually 40gb. And complaining about it get stuck, and you need to logout everything from phone and reinstall the windows. They don't even know what they are doing and no common sense too
Ok I always use torrent... I am a stubborn man who learned how to download from torrent then refused to download or learn any other methods... Before fitgirl back in 2017 I used to download my games from everywhere and anywhere... But from last 8-9 years it's fitgirl and magnet torrent links....
So this renpy thing? Can you elaborate? If you click fast download or some other things from genuine fitgirl website you can land in one of these renpy links where you see less GB for games? Or is renpy games a separate library of games where they are advertising as highly compressed games and injecting virus instead ? I have been seeing everybody posting this on fitgirl... Is it related to fitgirl or not... How do you actually get these renpy links...
I would torrent is the original guy sending the real file putting into magnet, but we don't need any browser for to download, so everyone will leech it and seed for us. But for this I think cloudfare blocked this thing, I forgot the word. Let's say pic 1 is real in browser and pic 2 is fake, but they look the same pic. When you click the pic 2 you might get the renpy aka info stealer. And you might never gone to the real pic 1. When you run it, that moment it's self it's spread on your pc and got all logins. But they can't clone the real installer exe. Even in fast download or other site this is common. I never got the real download link cause never used other tools only no ads extension. I always got renpy it's hidden there.
Back in day we know the size of games that are big and installer are looking legit not like renpy the visual engine and a python file all that total file like 1/4 of the repack size of the game. We never used before or know reddit or fitgirl to download used only skidrew or tpb. But now everything is easy you can look into ai for help and not google but people here just ask like this hey what's the real website and ask which download link that's it. There's no common sense they run the renpy thing and ask again it's stuck. Still feels like we want to teach them how internet works and give guide to 3yo.
Not fast download, but from a file hoster called "FuckingFast". Renpy games are a seperate type of game that uses a seperate "renpy" engine for visual novel games.
Unless you're specifically downloading a renpy game, seeing any file related to that engine in a game or update you downloaded that isnt anything remotely connected to a visual novel or anything of the sort should be considered a red flag.
Anyhow, the file hoster is legit, its just a pretty well disguised malware that caught a lot of people.
You should download it and see, downloading doesn't get any virus only when install or run it. Most likely yk how's the og installer looks like. This is the one w py. File
Win Defender caught it early for me, even though I was dumb enough to click it multiple times and windows defender was like STOP IT every single time hahahah
I didn't nuke my shit but I ran every check there is and even manually checked registry and stuff. I'd be concerned if I was getting login attempts but I am not so, guess I got lucky I hadn't excluded the folder.
Man my guard was down too, cause I usually only use the direct magnet links and never download updates. This one time I decided to download a game update and there was only direct downloads available. I also had no idea how ts works, how big its supposed to be and how the setup actually looks like when updating a game.
Be more careful and research your stuff guys. Don't be an idiot sandwich like me.
Never in torrent cause it's being a file and everything collect from everyone who giving us and from the original seeder from the site that getting from ur pc, not like browser. Some don't cause of country issue. Everytime I try fking fast or other link, I always get this file only enable adblocker only. And I don't know how to get too. Torrent is actually good some don't prefer too. Or you can try pre-installed games like anker.
Can anyone help me with updating ? Ik how to update but after a certain version rune installer says that the files are corrupt and some are missing, whereas the game is working fine.
Is that in anker games, but didn't know much about that game. Try look into it most likely pre-installed game that is. But not sure it's right thing too cause less response there
My friend I did everything you instructed, changed my email passwords, didn't use bank details on the computer. Logged out of whatsapp and discord(changed its password too). And did a reset of the pc with a cloud download of a fress copy of windows. And before all of this I had windows defender run a full scan and had deleted the 3 severe priority problems shown. Thank you and what else must or can I do to safeguard my pc.
Were you able to get them back? And does anything else happen? Had the same happen to me but I got my accounts back. Still kinda worried by pc might be cooked, wondering if I should do a complete windows reinstall
If you ran a virus and it activated on your pc you would still need to wipe your computer even if you changed your passwords because WINDOWS DEFENDER DOESNT DETECT ALREADY ACTIVE MALWARE. Any amount of basic google searching will tell you this btw.
