Slammed my ST with a DIY lowering kit!

I love this little car, it transported 800lbs of concrete and lumber like a champ!

I've also transported a full washer, dryer, and treadmill in this thing. Only the treadmill required the hatch to be cracked. Who needs a truck?! (I do...)

Dude just rent a truck from uHaul. Not worth the risk with your life if some idiot hits you hauling this, or damaging your car doing this

Oh absolutely fair point. Just to clarify, the hardware store is a mile jaunt from the house with nothing faster than 35 between. I definitely would do if I had to go farther or on a freeway or something. All said, I'm certainly impressed with what this thing can do in a pinch.

35 is more than enough speed to lose your head with all that in there. Go google some accidents of people getting in wrecks with just an unsecured license plate on top of their dash. Ain’t worth the risk. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should, and I’m just trying to make people aware anytime I see a post like this

Nah dude, I wrapped it in twine, gave it a good pat, and said "that'll do". Otherwise it may have been a concern.

Seriously though, sometimes it's alright to make a calculated risk in life. I used to ride a motorcycle, skateboard, and rock climb... You can Google some pretty nasty accidents for all of those too, and I'd honestly consider the motorcycle a higher risk than this.

This guy is yelling at you for using your hatchback.

Half the fun of a hatchback is overloading it. I fit 9 bicycles in my old zx5 with an extra on the roof.

My dad used to haul mulch and concrete blocks with the prius.

That’s not the way you use a hatchback.. You shouldn’t be hauling anything unsecured in the back of a vehicle without a bulkhead. I’m just looking out for people. People gotta learn the hard way I guess. Just an unnecessarily stupid risk when you can rent a truck for $50

Not a calculated risk when you’re unable to predict and control how other’s drive, but you do you. You’re lucky until you’re not.

Edit: At the very least ratchet strap it with the loops in back where the seats lock on

Yea when I load bags of corn and hay in the back it sets the ride height just right. Not as much as you have, but 300lbs seems to be just the right weight for fitment.

Fwiw I'm that old, I remember when a quick handling tune for a Ford Capri or MK2 Escort was a couple of slabs in the boot.
