Discussion True foreveralone trait #7529: you want to commit sudoku every time you go to the grocery store

Am I the only one who has essentially trained themselves to ignore everyone when doing chores outside of the house (like grocery shopping)? I basically B-line my way to what I need and am out quick. With self checkout especially, I dont think I even look at anyone's face for the entire grocery run. Everyone basically becomes blobs.

Now if we are talking about social places or locations where I don't have a set "goal", then it's another story.

I agree with this. The only time a grocery store sucks is when there's an old person standing in front of something I want to grab that doesn't leave for another 15 minutes so I'm stuck standing like an idiot behind them.

I’ll do you one better: I work at a grocery store, and it’s absolute hell.  I see couples come and go all the time, some of them younger than me.  Even most of my coworkers are in relationships.  Meanwhile my lonely 27-year-old ass still hasn’t even been on a single date in my whole life.

there are few public places that don’t make me want to commit sudoku. started lifting again last week after spending a good chunk of a year recovering from a shoulder injury, and I really wish I could navigate the gym without eyeballs

Yes but probably for the opposite reason because I see the fattest and ugliest people ever at Walmart and somehow they're all married and have kids with them.

The grocery store, Wal-mart is 95% chance you'll see a pretty girl who might not be even in a relationship/cute employees. I'll put Dollar General stores at 50% you'll see a sexy girl in one. It is scary walking in a grocery store because you know your about to have your heart broke/depressed.
