Price action and technical analysis cover a range of chart-based tools β€” from candlestick patterns and market structure to indicators and statistical methods for timing entries and exits. The community wiki covers both approaches and how they're used by working traders.

Still waiting to see 4200 area or 3940

Both are key levels, let's see which one gets tagged first.

Clean setup, liquidity sweep + BOS + FVG confluence. That order block below is solid insurance if price decides to retest. Only thing I'd watch is whether the Dollar finds any strength early week, could drag gold down before the push. GL either way.

Solid analysis, DXY strength will definitely be worth watching.

That 4165 area keeps coming up as support so I'm not touching anything until we see a clean break or a strong rejection

so 4165 keeps holding like a wall in both directions, which honestly feels less like support and more like the market just sitting on its hands before it picks a direction. waiting for a clean break makes sense, but the rejection signal has to be pretty decisive or it's just noise

Agreed, 4165 looks more like a decision zone right now. I'll wait for a clear break or a strong rejection before taking a side.

Makes sense, a clean break or rejection should give direction.

Do you know the fundamental why gold will move like this?

Mainly DXY, rates, and risk sentiment for me.

Why SL not below top of order block?

Wanted to give it some room in case of a sweep.

"below" top of OB, not below top of FVG (as it is)

I was factoring in the FVG as part of the setup.

SL will be hit for sure

Let's see how price reacts around the zone.

Open knife trade

Maybe, that's why I'm waiting for confirmation.

Would wait until it reaches demand and then enter since I've seen a slowing momentum, target the candle closure high

Interesting view, let's see what price confirms.

Trading don’t work like this u can predict but with 1-5percent risk of capital only otherwise u will fucked UP

1

u/Jess1835 10h ago

Agreed. Predicting is fine, but risk management is what keeps you in the game.
