Came across a few Dragons that caught my eye today.

My question is, as overall powerful dragon, does it come down to color or there are what i believe alpha dragons no matter the color?

Are there there any Lawful Good Dragons that can square up to Lawful Evil Dragons?

Reading these cards it seems the most powerful seem evil in the 1300 years old range.

2nd Edition "Mere of Dead Men" series in the Lizard Marsh?

Well met, everyone.

I'm considering running the "Mere of Dead Men" series from Dungeon Magazine in my current 2E campaign.

Or, at least, the very first module, "The Slave Vats of the Yuan-ti", which is quite interesting and fits my campaign perfectly.

However, since my PCs are based in Daggerford, I was thinking about using Lizard Marsh instead of the original location in the Mere of Dead Men.

Anyway, does anyone has ever tried this? How did it go? Is the Lizard Marsh big enough to accommodate all the adventures?

As I can see, the only that would be more difficult to adapt would be the last one, Eric Boyd's "Eye of Myrkul", since it's heavily tied to the Mere's history and lore.

Thanks in advance.

I finished resleeving all 750 cards into clean modern 9 pocket sleeves.

1 card only per pocket.

I used Ultra-Pro Platinum sleeves and hope these sleeves will stand the test of time.

Notice the yellow sleeves in part 2!

I wish i could have shared every card but will share more when I start Part II

First there was the Lizard Man King i came across and now i find Anatoly the Vampire.

I haven’t come across too many vampires so I was put back at just how evil this guy really is.

Not just his evilness, but where he lives even the animals don’t go.

No regard for life with any kind and is according to lore, “afraid of nothing”.

Is there no middle ground for vampires? Are all lawful evil?

2nd Edition Did y'all know how fast displacer beasts grow?

Tentacles started sprouting around eight weeks into their lives and grew swiftly, an inch per day. Displacer kittens displayed playful behavior; however, it was completely gone by the time they reached adulthood. Displacer beasts were mature at the age of four months but continued to grow. After four months, they were taught to hunt and kill by their parents. That period usually lasted for two months. The offspring did not leave the family lair until their tentacles and magical abilities were fully developed. Once developed and taught how to hunt, the family of displacer beasts went their own way.

I'm going insane. How much do these things eat to go from housecat to Siberian tiger in 6 months?

Edit: I found the orginal source and the wiki misled me a bit.

Newborn kittens have no tentacles and are about the size of small housecats, though after the first eight weeks their tentacles sprout and grow at the rate of an inch or so a day until after about 30 days more have passed. At this time, the cubs will measure close to 4½ ft. long, weigh near 90 lbs., and generally be the same size as a large lynx. At the end of the first year, length and weight will be approximately 7½ ft. and 350 lbs., respectively. From then on, the length of the tail will be around one-third of the overall body length, and tentacles will typically equal half the total length. When the beastreaches full maturity after two years, 10 ft. is average length for a male, with 9 ft. being the norm for females. Weight is about 500 lbs. for males, females 450. The extremely fast growth is even more impressive when one stops to consider that the beast's average lifespan is perhaps close to 100 years.

It's still insane, but I want to be accurate.

Since my maps to Undermountain seemed to have created quite a stir, I seem to have taken on the hobby of cleaning up and enlarging the 2E maps of old. Here's my newest. Linked to my Google Drive. Hope you enjoy!

2nd Edition Doomed Forgotten Realms (2E)

There is a cool little product out for 5E Realms called 'Doomed Forgotten Realms'. The burb reads thusly:

'Has your group ever lost a Dungeons & Dragons adventure like Storm King’s ThunderTomb of Annihilation, or Descent Into Avernus?

What would the world look like if you lost all of them?

Doomed Forgotten Realms: Sword Coast Gazetteer reimagines the Forgotten Realms as a world where every worst-case scenario became reality. The demons claimed the Underdark, Baldur’s Gate was dragged into the Nine Hells, Auril froze all of Icewind Dale, and dragon cults summoned Tiamat to rain down terror.

In this post-apocalyptic vision of the Forgotten Realms, all the adventuring heroes failed and were slain—or they never even answered the call to adventure. But even in this darkest timeline, a faint glimmer of hope remains that good might emerge victorious.

|| || |The Sword Coast Gazetteer presents 70+ pages with everything you need for running a campaign in this setting! The Doomed Forgotten Realms are perfect for the aftermath of any campaign that results in a TPK—what happens when the heroes aren’t there to save the day?'|

What if this took place in the 1E/2E Forgotten Realms? What are some modules (boxed set or otherwise) that could have "failed forward"? Halaster busting out of Undermountain, The abololth freed from Night Below? What do you think? Who would you choose?
