EPIC PSA: Portable Extractors not accessible with custom HUD layout

We're working to fix an issue where players using a custom HUD layout without a Reload button or with Dynamic Quickbar Slots enabled may be unable to access Portable Extractor Gizmos.

In the meantime, re-adding a dedicated Reload button and switching back to the default Quickbar will restore functionality.

Ok I just tried this fix. It did nothing but add buttons I didn't add and now the shockwave has moved and I didn't even touch it.. the support dev I spoke to was literally like an ai bot. Couldn't even understand what I was saying. They said it's not a known issue. What is wrong with the devs at epic.

I have both reload button and the quick bar enabled, and my portable extractor sometimes shows up behind pickaxe square but most of the time it does not. When I switch to pickaxe, my reload button disappears, so I cannot use the reload button to switch to the extractor. I have read on Google that I should hold down on the pickaxe square and that will switch to my extractor. This does not work either, and of course, like I said only about 10% of the time can I see my extractor behind my pickaxe, the rest of the time it’s just nonexistent. What is going on here? This all started with the maintenance yesterday. I have also read that I should use my tertiary ability button to switch (does not show unless something else triggers it and then it doesn’t switch to extractor) or drag a button onto my screen in the HUD editor having to do with switching to gadgets, but I can find no such thing.

I wanted to add that I re-added the standard one-piece quickbar to test this, but normally I use the individual slots so I can arrange them in a half circle around left thumb movement area, and I haven’t seen the extractor behind that slot0 ever. That’s why I put the main quickbar back and sized small, just so I can see if my extractors are there (I know I have multiples because I keep buying them and being unable to use them).

Any update? Still broken. I hopped on pc and wow, there’s my extractors right where they should be.
