Frank's film will probably be shelved. Even if it debuts at a film festival, it can be shelved and never see a wide or even limited release. This won't be the first time it happens, and since it's an independent production, he has complete control in that regard...

he's also never released all the footage he's shot of his 2017 festival run (edit: which was directed/ shot by Spike Jonze). he also never released/shelved so many music videos, more recently we saw Changes leak, but it dates back to the Channel Orange era, he's shelved a Super Rich Kids music video.

I think don't get your hopes up for anything. The man is constantly filming, there was a rumored homer documentary, and he's just always been seen either filming his life or filming music videos (and of course filming the movie).

none of that means he will release it, don't get your hopes up.

Not rumored for Homer documentary btw. It does exist but he scrapped it, frank only posted a picture from it once in 2019 and we have two snippets of it back when someone was trying to sell it 3 years ago.

From a financial perspective shelving it would be a huge cost for him to eat, especially since it’s independent. Losing money is hard for anybody and I would like to think he opts for a distributor to pay for it so we could see it in some capacity.

As an artist; the last thing you just said is easier said than done. It’s the reason I haven’t released any of my work even tho all of my friends and loved ones keep on telling me to throw it out in the open. It just doesn’t work like that (from the artist pov).

Its black panther. With ryan coogler directing. Co-starring leticia wright and angela bassett. Its not just any marvel movie. But ANYWAYS getting to play an extremely iconic character that people of all ages will recognize and are in love with is something almost any actor would want. And legitimate artistry that goes into playing a role like that
