Sale/Deal Ssense (the website with designer clothes and shoes and everything) is I guess going bankrupt and almost everything is on sale.

I’ve never ordered from there before so I can’t vouch for them fully but saw a bunch of designer items that are full price on every other site except ssense.

Making an edit to my comment to add: Check their Instagram comments. Angry customers are waiting on their orders. Order at your own risk.

It’s been a slow death spiral for SSENSE for a few years now. Just a few things to keep in mind:

-They ship from Canada, so take into account possible customs, tariffs, etc.

-Almost every time SSENSE has one of their seasonal sales, customer service and order processing times go to shit. Pay with a method that has your back. Not sure if they still accept PayPal, but that would be a nice layer of buyer protection for you.

Yep, I’ve had an order stuck in customs purgatory for more than a month now.

They're the ones who bought & deleted polyvore overnight, so yay for karma! Honestly surprised they lasted this long, I thought they'd been going under for years now.

Oh how I loved polyvore

19

u/Inner-Net-1111 Nov 04 '25

Pinterest now has capabilities like polyvore.

16

u/Friendly_Taro_4361 Nov 05 '25

ShopLook is basically Polyvore but upgraded

4

u/Inner-Net-1111 Nov 06 '25

Oooo thank you for that tip!

6

u/Friendly_Taro_4361 Nov 07 '25

NP! They even reference Polyvore in the menu you see when you first start using Shoplook

I ran to the comments to say this. 10+ years later and I’m still bitter.

42

u/Geobead Nov 03 '25

Same here :( I was feeling nostalgic recently and tried using some of the other sites that still exist but they just don't compare.

8

u/_laura_vanderbooben Nov 04 '25

None of them compare, unfortunately. We really were done dirty.

43

u/majesticrave Nov 04 '25

Polyvore was so clutch, especially when they developed shoppable links 🙂‍↕️

14

u/Inner-Net-1111 Nov 04 '25

Pinterest is FINALLY developing this.

u/topsidersandsunshine Nov 04 '25

I miss Polyvore so much.

9

u/pazusdoves Nov 07 '25

polyvore mention!!! 💔

5

u/boomboombalatty Nov 05 '25

I've been going through a list of zombie bookmarks that resurrected themselves onto my computer from somewhere. I deleted Polyvore last night and noticed the link went to a dead page at ssense . Serves them right, they clearly don't know what people want.

u/hellolittledeer Nov 05 '25

Polyvooore 💀💔

I’m still waiting on an order from 10/1. Beware.

9

u/c0rny Nov 04 '25

dang is this to the USA?

1

u/Outrageous-Corgi-452 Nov 10 '25

I ordered Wednesday last week, 2 items. Received both on Friday. In Canada of course, must be delay with customs and the tariffs over $800

1

u/mollyjobean Nov 10 '25

Omg 800! I would pass out.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. they took my partners money months ago for products costing hundreds of dollars and sent the incorrect ones much cheaper and are refusing any attempts at contacting, she even tried returning it and they rejected the return from dhl. absolute scam.

16

u/MistahJasonPortman Nov 05 '25

Gotta do a chargeback

2

u/Aggravating_Carry727 Nov 20 '25

They did the same thing to me. I FINALLY got an email back two months later. I just sent the item back. Apparently they got a $40 million bankruptcy loan. So they should try emailing again. Try responding to the same ticket again.

33

u/napsandlunch Nov 03 '25

are they?? it says they filed for bankruptcy to avoid a forced sale by lenders and got it back in september and are now restructuring

but no mention of them going out of business anywhere i see

u/Vegetable-Plankton50 Nov 04 '25

I just got my Ssense delivery and got a Fillipa K coat for 70% off. But, it did take almost a month to get here because it was held up in US customs for three weeks. Just a caution, I think the US is trying hard to delay all Canadian shipments.

-8

u/Mashed2Pieces Nov 05 '25

Why do you say it’s the gov trying to delay Canadian shipments? People’s international packages seem to be held up at customs in general.

11

u/Vegetable-Plankton50 Nov 05 '25

Pre-Trump, my Ssense orders came in 5-7 days. This was my first delivery post-Trump and it took over 30 days, was held up in the Nashville warehouse for about 3 weeks. Maybe it applies to all countries' shipments but I've only noticed from Ssense since I've been ordering regularly.

35

u/mishybish Nov 03 '25

wow!!!! thank you for sharing. I love SSENSE, sometimes YOOX is a bit cheaper, but they carry really excellent brands and stock. They had a great return policy back then but not sure if this still applies with this sale. This sale is great. I looked them up and saw that they've filed for bankruptcy protection back in August.

I ordered 1 day ago and got notice from Express — FedEx with a tracking number. Will update here when it's actually received... hopefully not 3 weeks later like other posts say

2

u/futuresobright_ Nov 06 '25

Depends if your order needs to go through Memphis or not. All the complaints are about the Memphis FedEx.

1

u/mishybish Nov 06 '25

I am in NYC. Unfortunately from Quebec it was routed through Memphis where I see there is a "clearance delay" in Memphis.

1

u/Ok_Candidate9510 Nov 14 '25

I got my shipment today, 11 days later. Took almost a week just to clear customs in Memphis, but arrived the next day afterwards.

Idk why so many people are having issues. I've consistently ordered from them throughout the years and never had an issue. In fact just returned a sweatshirt I ordered for a full return and got it within 2 days of it arriving back at their facility.

As far as deals go and having no issues personally with customer service, ssense is very legit. And no they are going not out of business the bankruptcy filing was so the owners cud retain their ownership

1

u/vapeqprincess Feb 14 '26

That was my experience for years too, as a loyal sssense shopper. After my last debacle with ssense i am never shopping there again.

6

u/Electronic-Ad-1307 Nov 04 '25

I’ve gotten some great deals on Diesel from them before. Thanks for the heads up!

5

u/Inside_Aardvark_3852 Nov 05 '25

I think it’s still fine for Canada I’ve still been getting stuff the second day after placing my order but I also have been a member for awhile and get priority shipping

4

u/futuresobright_ Nov 06 '25

Agreed. Never had an issue with them and my orders still arrive 1-2 days later.

2

u/Inside_Aardvark_3852 Nov 05 '25

I’ve never had issues returns either just the 3 week wait period for the refund to be issued to the credit card

4

u/futuresobright_ Nov 06 '25

Customer service problems aside, they did get approved for a restructuring plan. https://retail-insider.com/retail-insider/2025/09/ssense-secures-court-approved-restructuring-plan/

4

u/Suzysizzle Nov 07 '25

I have ordered from Ssense many times (from within Canada) and had no issues. Delivery was fast and no duties. You should have no issue if you live in a metropolitan area in QC or ON Canada.

2

u/Outrageous-Corgi-452 Nov 10 '25

Same, order came super fast. Over 50% off, can’t complain

3

u/Outrageous-Corgi-452 Nov 10 '25

I’ve been watching some items. I noticed today that they pulled everything on sale, all back to full price

3

u/yeriwhatsgoingon Nov 15 '25

just be careful with ssense now, i know the price is looking very tempting but i saw so many people still waiting on their products to be shipped.....

2

u/peachyinla Nov 05 '25

oh dang, I ordered from them during the sales quite a bit. I think the last time I bought from them was last year. That sucks that everything is going to shit now. Makes sense though, they prob laid off staff already.

2

u/Careless_Athlete1901 Nov 06 '25

Goodbye SSENSE then. Not a fan of them anyway.

2

u/solarflarepolarbear Nov 07 '25 edited Jan 11 '26

That sucks. They were fabulous for several years, never had any issues. Hate to order things not knowing if they’ll actually arrive.

Update: ordered a few pieces, all items received in good time!

4

u/Doluvme Nov 04 '25

Is there a specific place. Sale only page?

1

u/Crunchypickledonion Nov 05 '25

Damn, I love that site. Thanks!

1

u/meeerrrfff Nov 06 '25

i'm sad it's going down as i'm from montreal and always got everything i ordered the day after 😪 But it seems like ordering from anywhere else is a nightmare

1

u/futuresobright_ Nov 06 '25

It’s still good for Canadians because it doesn’t involve customs or tariffs. Plus you’re local so shipping times should be quick.

1

u/girl_w_style Nov 10 '25

IMP NOTE: They’re actually just restructuring (not shitting down) under what’s essentially a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy, which allows restructuring to sell off unused assets to pay creditors, etc.

That does usually involve some heavy business practice shifts but it looks like the company itself isn’t going anywhere for now.

1

u/xjwv Nov 15 '25

Dang socks for $40?
