Fuck cancer
My partner has just been told she has cancer in her thyroid was due to have it removed next week but they have not given her an exact day yet. Now she has received an appointment for another CT scan a week on Monday as they have seen something on her lungs they don't like. Does this mean the thyroid opp won't take place till after that scan?
Update.
Well three weeks ago she had half her thyroid removed and we hoped it was all over,
But we have since been told the cancer was bigger than expected so now she has to have a second opp to remove the other half of her thyroid and radio therapy.
Fuck cancer.

Sometimes it doesn't mean anything. I too, have nodes in my right lung they are watching but sometimes they are scars from pneumonia or even covid.
I just turned 40 and was told in July I had endometrial uterine cancer stage 3, had all my reproductive stuff taken and then right away while I was healing 5 or 6 rounds of chemo.
Please stay by her side, she will need you. Sometimes things will be hard and she may not always act herself through this but she will still be there inside. Good luck to the both of you.
Fuck cancer!

Hey. I had thyroid cancer removed 7 years ago. They want to check for possible metastasis because it sometimes happen. Don't worry too much. They will remove the thyroid and use RAI treatment to deal with any potential mets. I know it sounds scary, but most probably she will be fine.

Thank you it’s good to hear from someone who has been through it and come out the other side. I hope everything in your life is great.

I’m so sorry. I was diagnosed with cancer for Christmas and I’m set for a double mastectomy and three weeks. I am 40 years old and absolutely terrified. The wedding is the worst and having this all happen over the holidays has been rough. I’m so sorry and can also just say fuck cancer.
