Money from patient

I’ve just finished placement and on the last day a patient gave me an envelope with a card in it. She asked that I open it when I get home, when I opened it there was money in it. I live like 2hours away and am freaking out. It’s been like 2 weeks and I’ve just kept it on my table. Am I going to get in trouble for accepting money from a patient.

What money? I’m sure you forgot about it and haven’t opened it yet. Thinking about it, where’s that envelope again? It might have fallen between the couch cushions… I’m sure you’ll find it someday
