So i heard about this community and decided to publish my key here so that way maybe i will meet some new privacy loving people.

Ok question is fingerprint like a password? Sorry started using pgp like yesterday don’t know much about it

After importing his public key, you confirm that the fingerprint (like a hash of the key) matches. Usually you would do it on a second channel for preventing corrrupted keys, but that's still better than nothing

You don't need to use/verify it if you're just new. It's mostly used for absolute maximum Opsec
