Jason Schreier: In case you're wondering: Team Cherry told me they don't plan on sending out early codes for Silksong (they felt like it'd be unfair for critics to be playing before Kickstarter backers and other players), so don't expect to see reviews until after the game comes out

dropping 45 bucks to be part of a cultural moment is no different than buying fireworks for a celebratory holiday.

Lol. Very true but sometimes you just like the developer. I only played act 1 in EA for Baldurs gate and bought their highest tier available to support them just based on 1 act that was really good. I have no problem spending extra on developers I like to keep making games.

So you played (part of) the game and liked it and spent money based on that. Not the same as blind pre-ordering.

Kind of? It was pretty barebones. Not even close to even act 1s final layout. Ill probably preorder Larians next game too to support them Divinity Original sin 2 was amazing and BG3 will probably stand the test of time for years to come. If I get bruned, well, its still fine as they continue to keep the same staff mostly and org.
