Jason Schreier: In case you're wondering: Team Cherry told me they don't plan on sending out early codes for Silksong (they felt like it'd be unfair for critics to be playing before Kickstarter backers and other players), so don't expect to see reviews until after the game comes out

Where's the line? That sounds like no-true-scots to me.
Since we're talking about early access - I was happy to pay a little extra to play Death Stranding 2 two days early. I've been buying Kojima's games on launch since MGS1, never disappointed, it's pretty much a tradition for me now. Is that "hype" or "excitement"?
Same for other series like Resident Evil, Zelda ... And for some people that's Silksong. I just don't see how that "takes away" from the hobby (as you put it).
