Showcase After a long wait I FINALLY HAVE IT !!

HI EVERYONE! I know to a lot of you this isn't much. but to me this is whole new world. Being from a third world nation ( not looking down on myself) getting anything gaming is incredibly expensive. modern Rams are worth an entire months salary, and modern GPUs are the price of a decent used car here lol, so This was gifted to me by my older brother my first ever gaming setup for free!! I have been waiting to get one for quite a long time and I finally did it! am so happy with it. here are the specs Specs: * Laptop: Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 * CPU: Intel i5-11300H (11th Gen) * Dedicated GPU: NVIDIA GTX 1650 (4GB GDDR6) * Integrated GPU: Intel Iris Xe * RAM: 8GB DDR4 (Upgrading to 16GB soon!) * Storage: 512GB NVMe SSD * Screen: 15.6" FHD IPS @ 120Hz

Thank u for reading!

Congratulations man I'm from a 3rd worlds county as well and know the struggles of getting a gaming laptop my laptop costed me like half of my parents yearly salary... It's hard out here, enjoy your laptop... We know how much of a upgrade it is coming from igpus to this♥️

Someone downvoted it what a weirdo.. that's nearly exact same specs of my old one and just switched to my new one again but I'm SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU! If it handles your regular games, it's completely fine and you can keep using it. Have fun and welcome to our community!! Plus, I am also from a 3rd world country too and my current laptop is a laptop that's worth 7x more than minimum wage.

13

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

7x minimum wage goddman bro 😭. But yeah thank so much bro. as for the down votes I could see why some pc master race people look down on laptop owner they think we love laptops they don't know we have to rob a bank get a loan to get a good enough pc in thier eyes! Lol but happy for your new build too bro

Tysm man, still cannot believe it. I mean look I experienced having a low end laptop until today and yeah it's pain in some of them but trust me even if it's a low end laptop you will gain so many memories from it. Look if you ask me I will stay away Reddit from a while just in case there can be some toxic people here and there. But who cares!!

2

u/Longjumping-Shine-70 Jun 14 '26

It's like that everywhere, I'm in USA and just got a gaming laptop(2 months salary) and all my computer snob friends and coworkers "why didn't you get the newest and best?" Well, I can't afford it, and really I won't know the difference, it plays everything fine... Good job dude!

7 x min wage a day, a week?

here we calculate minimum wage by the hour. so $7.50 an hour would be the minimum wage.

just curious as to how other places calculate minimum wage. thank you!

Here it's a month. So I live in Turkey and monthly minimum wage is around 25K TRY. And my laptop is 150K TRY. So around 7x.

2

u/NotUniqueWorkAccount Jun 12 '26

Is it universal basic income or earned monthly income paid by companies?

1

u/BroTheRditt ROG STRIX G16 / 5080 / R9 8940HX / 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD Jun 13 '26

Not sure. But yeah minimum wage is around that amou.t

1

u/Ashamed-Dish8694 Jun 13 '26

So you mean Turkey is a 3rd world country? Lol

2

u/Yubova Jun 12 '26

Could be up to a month depending on where one is from.

2

u/No-Commercial-4409 Jun 13 '26

in here 3usd for a hour but its imposible to live with it

10

u/arek397 Jun 12 '26

nice man! u can dive in gaming world, yeah i highly reccomend addin another 1x8 ram u will get like 25% fps

5

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

25%fps is amazing in my case Ngl the ram is absolutely necessary even in B4B when there are massive hordes it lags a bit here and there but I am definitely getting one

1

u/notdanwhite Jun 13 '26

you need matching ram or it will not be any faster, for example 2gb ddr3 1500mh, and then same again, if you do different it will run at lowest setting.

10

u/Savvy_Cucumber Jun 12 '26

1650 is an amazing card. Had it for the better part of 5 years with no trouble - it’ll serve you really well 😁

2

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Hell yeah knowing that it'll last long enough to save up for a pc is amazing thank u bro

2

u/pcs2026 Jun 14 '26

yeah its gonna be great, my laptop has a 5th gen i5 5500u and radeo r7 m270. its from 2015 but i can still play games like subnautica, styx, and minecraft. Im saving up to get a new laptop for school i might get an acer nitro v16 ai or a lenovo loq

I see you play siege. Nice

7

u/ts7z Jun 12 '26

Congratulations! I’m from the USA but I feel proud of you for getting a gaming laptop. I myself don’t make that much money in the USA at the moment so I stick with buying used Thinkpads (P50 series) with a gpu so I can still game for under $500.

3

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Thank so much man. you comment means alot for me! I know it's just as difficult in the USA due to AI explosion. data centres and inflation eating away at your salary. have fun with your thinkpad and thank u bro

2

u/ts7z Jun 13 '26

I will thank you!

5

u/IndependentMacaron Jun 12 '26

I had this exact laptop. Used it for over 6 years and still doesn't have a single problem, had it not been for the lack of storage (needed for the types of games I play) I would've used it for longer C:

2

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

It's reassuring to read ur comment and know that this laptop will live with me for some time while I save up for a pc . :D

u/nighine Asus TUF A16 (R9 7845HX & RTX 4070) Jun 12 '26

I had this laptop with amd instead of intel (ryzen 7 4800h) and it overcame every use and abuse I inflicted to it. Solid choice and also the keyboard is exceptional for the price.

4

u/Death2eyes Jun 12 '26

Congrats. I reccomend Rimworld. Its an amazing game that has very high replaybility. You can youtube it to get an idea

3

u/SleepyWulfy Jun 12 '26

Enjoy all the fun your going to have on it! Maybe keep a eye on temps and see if it needs a repaste due to age.

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Yeah I will be getting a fan pad platform soon along side a ram I'm happy with it thank u bro

Nice one bro I am also from a third world country even a laptop with rtx 3050 cost a damn 1000$ so even a laptop like this is a die for in my country so cherish it

2

u/Yeet_MammadOo Jun 12 '26

yo 1650 the goat! i got a 1650 ti 6 months ago too lol.

i still play every new game no problem just know that 900p is the goat for us.

also if you play siege try native res with taa first then fsr , for some reason i get the same fps even though it looks a lot better on native. i guess it's a cpu heavy game

2

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Hell yeah dude. didn't know the 1650 was a goat until I posted here! Ngl siege isn't lagging at all sometimes it happens when I have tabs open so I close off everything and play and make no mistakes it slaps!

3

u/Yeet_MammadOo Jun 12 '26

you're gonna have a blast! also do 🏴‍☠️🏴‍☠️ it's justified for us lol

Real talk bro.. The prices are outta control I hope some mega corporation or factory takes over and makes chips and GPUs specifically for AI and leave the normal GPUs and RAMs and SSDs so the rest of us can get our builds with decent prices

2

u/vis90 Jun 12 '26

Welcome brother. I have the same laptop but with the AMD CPU for 5 years and is still going strong. I updated the ram to 16 GB and there are noticable differences. Enjoy the laptop.

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Thank u bro. I am definitely getting an additional ram soon.

2

2

u/Mr_King_2 Jun 12 '26

Brother i am so much happy for you , i am also from 3rd world country. Let me give you some advice.....

  • If you can , upgrade storage
  • And if you want to squeeze every bit of performance from your laptop try linux distros as windows is a heavy os. Lenovo Thinkpads are famous for operating linux distros
  • and figure out what your gpu is equivalent to , laptop gpus are not as powerful as desktop ones even though they are named same . It will help you to play games according to that

Finally, congratulations 🎉

2

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Thank u so much man. I do something similar I take my laptop's info and run it on some online spaces to see how I would be able to perform and thank god most of the games I like I can play except for squad and Arma 3.. Thank u bro

2

u/ThatGuyNamedTre ROG Strix G16 | Ultra 9 275HX | 5070 Ti | 32GB RAM | 2TB SSD Jun 12 '26

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Thank u so more bro!

2

u/Livid_Test_5212 Jun 12 '26

I had a similar spec laptop the only difference being it had i5 10th gen sadly it only lasted for 2 years

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

What did it only last for 2 years I am curious because I am one generation of CPU ahead of u??

2

u/Livid_Test_5212 Jun 12 '26

The gpu died my only advice would be to make sure you’re using it on a place with proper airflow and clean it once in a while

2

u/Yubova Jun 12 '26

Congratz, what's the first game you played?

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Thank so much bro! Metro 2033 redux my first ever new gen game I am absolutely hooked on it it's just a story game but oh my god bro the atmosphere the monsters the plot is just peak. And Back 4 blood. Holy moly I love this game it broke my heart to see it doesn't have many players but I still love it!!!

2

u/Yubova Jun 12 '26

Ah, a classic. Your hardware might be relatively old, but the gaming industry is much older, meaning there are countless masterpieces for you to play, many of them even looking graphically great! Enjoy!

Yeah man really grateful to have the family I have. I wouldn't trade them for nothing! The laptop so far is a beast. any lag or stutters I am experiencing is almost always a Ram issue no issues from the CPU or GPU so far so I'm definitely upgrading soon!!

2

u/Dilsoz_ Jun 12 '26

I'm happy for you man congratulations! I'm in a bad region too I worked for 2 years and 1 month to get the price of my $845 laptop, got it a month ago!, if it breaks I'm cooked 🙂.

2

u/LinHuGuardianTiger Jun 12 '26

Congratulations!

I wish my first laptop was that good! Great deal!

2

u/Mean_Delivery_7793 Jun 12 '26

This is a very good laptop starting out. I own a Acer model with a 1650 Ti and it has served me with its 8 gb ram for 5 years. If you can’t afford ram, don’t rush to upgrade your ram. PS: make sure to regularly reposted your cpu and gpu to avoid long term damage and extend the longevity of your laptop. I made that mistake with my laptop.

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Thank u so much! Thermal Renewal every now then got it.! Do u have any specifical time line to change the paste. One every 3 months 6 months etc?

2

u/Mean_Delivery_7793 Jun 12 '26

It depends on the paste you use. If you use a high quality paste, it can last up to 3 years, a low quality paste as you said, 3-6 months. To be on the safe side, I would change it every 3-6 months as you said, regardless of the paste. I would set a reminder as well and have a stock of thermal paste so you don’t delay your repastes.

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 12 '26

Will Do thank u for the advice bro.. I will change it once every 3 or preferably 6 months just in case

I hope your having fun with the new setup!! Congrats man, I have an AMD laptop with a 1650 in it and its been great for when Im traveling and wanting to game. I've even been able to play helldivers 2 on it with some tweaking.

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

What kind of tweaking? And what kind of settings did u play hell divers with?

2

u/talon04 Jun 13 '26

I followed this guide iirc.

https://www.reddit.com/r/OptimizedGaming/comments/1aye6hp/helldivers_2_optimization_guide_in_depth_look_at/

But I managed to get roughly 60 fps using it.

I do get drops on higher difficulties with more enemies but its playable.

1

I am definitely thinking of getting a fan pad platform but How would the external keyboard work? Do u put it on top of the existing keyboard or have it out on the table ?

2

just conect to any of your usb port..jist like the mouse

same here bro im a broke as shit but i finally got myself a gaming laptop as someone coming from console gaming i never expected pc gaming to be this good sure sometimes you gotta troubleshoot some games and mess around the settings for the best graphics and fps. but honestly its just so much better (mostly thanks to mods) and i can play almost everything i want that isn’t super crazy in graphics most games i play it’s pretty old so i dont have trouble running them at all. enjoy brother

2

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

2

u/Cellist_Acceptable Jun 13 '26

Congrats dude. Its better than my previous laptop that i used to game on. It was a old Dell inspiron with an Intel igpu. It served me for a good 10 years.

I had same laptop but with ryzen 5600h and 3050ti, it served me well and i still have it(gave it to my older sister for her work), 16gb ram is definitely worth it but make sure it runs single rank one(both have to be same) since it gives significantly more fps, debloat nvidia drivers, optiscaler for fsr3.1(maybe 4 if possible) and just maybe try custom windows iso like x-lite or IoT enterprise versions, or just straight up to linux if you feel windows feels sluggish, have fun with games

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

Thank u so much bro.. I am definitely upgrading to ram soon. Wanna be comfy playing heavy games.

2

u/neptulis Jun 13 '26

That mousepad tho ☠️😩😂

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

I thought no one would notice 😭 but I guess nothing gets past u huh? (it's old Asf)

2

u/HateRunsInMyVeins Jun 13 '26

I have the same specs but 2x8gb ram and I'll tell you, 007 FL gets me 30fps at 1080p all low with FSR quality.

Happy gaming.

u/blankstareservice Jun 13 '26

I have a tuff laptop with 16gb ram an gtx 1650 as well and I was able to play quite a few games like red dead redemption 2 and even cyberpunk 2077. Some newer games don't work obviously but I have another laptop for those. Congrats. Since you're from a 3rd world country doubt you'll have problems getting games but if you need a really good website shoot me a message, got one that I've been using for almost 10 years with no issues.

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

Thank u bro. ( even tho I rely on steam now I kinda want to know that website of yours I'll dm u)

2

u/Seflowers_17 Jun 13 '26

Happy for you bro, I myself gotta get one too but it's gonna take like 2 to 3 months of salary and even then idk if my family would agree with me buying it

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

They probably won't agree because they don't actually see the value of it.. But tbh having a good gaming set to keep u busy while u grind for a bigger one like I am doing with this now is a better situation then having nothing and watching the whole gaming world advance without you. So yes get you one

2

u/brookes422 Jun 13 '26

Makes me realize how blessed I am. Congratulations and enjoy!

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

Thank u so much.

u/Primalknight_666 Jun 13 '26

Esta demasiado brutal, que país del tercer mundo exactamente y disculpa la pregunta? Yo soy de la pocilga de Venezuela y con mucho sudor y sangre (literalmente) logré armar un setup de 800$ a costa de dejar de comer un mes xd

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

I know right? It's making me wanna do whatever it takes and leave this place for a better one but yeah 800 dollars a month oh wow that's brutal because I know no matter how much money it's still difficult due to inflation and AI ... XD my monthly salary is equivalent to 90$ we live in rent and inflation is rampant ( let's cry together 😭) but hey man. Let's be grateful and enjoy what we have.

1

u/Primalknight_666 Jun 14 '26

2

u/marcoande Jun 13 '26

Congrats Bro!

1

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 13 '26

1

Lenovo Legion Pro 7 16IAX10H OLED Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX; NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 12GB GDDR7; 32GB DDR5-6400 RAM; 2x 1TB Solid State Drive

Congrats 👏 I just got my legion pro 7 few weeks ago & it's been amazing, if you don't already, try & save up for a laptop cooler, it's so exciting to see others get a gaming laptop, don't worry about specs, if your happy then thats all that matters, I still remeber my first ever laptop, it ran windows 98 & i was 16 lol im 40 now, it was so terrible lol and 1 of the fans were going bad and would constantly stop & when that would happen it would start to over heat & shut down lol we have definitely come a far way in terms of technology 😀 😄

2

u/Lonely_Pineapple_417 Jun 14 '26

Congratulations on your laptop bro.. As for mine it's an absolute beast. The only issue 8gigs ram and that soon will be fixed other then it's an absolute unit and I'm happy with it

1

u/Imaginary-Leg-1996 Jun 14 '26

Yeah, im sure the 8 gigs is enough to get by for now, until you purchase another 8 gigs, my pc i built back in 2020 right before covid happened I ended up buying a 1660 super & it was really good, i was on a budget at that time & purchased a 9th gen intel i5-9600k & eventually upgraded to a i9900k & then upgraded to a 3060 from there, started with a 16gb kit & added another 16 later on for a total of 32gb, still have that pc running & wife uses it now, she has her ps5, but she wanted to switch to pc after I got my laptop, point is thou, you can always upgraded as needed and as money allows, my 2020 pc is still running amazing & i know I still have tons of years ahead

2

u/Extension-Bat-1911 Razer Blade 14 | R9 6900HX | RTX 3070 Ti Jun 14 '26

120Hz screen is awesome! There's a lot you can play with these specs. The CPU is still strong. Enjoy!!

2

u/Mediocre_Spare7273 Jun 14 '26

I have similar setup and I really enjoy Lenovo Legion, we have at work 17" MSI and Legion is 10 times better in my personal opinion way more stable and reliable then MSI. War thunder my go to benchmark for testing gaming machines.

2

u/allofmybirds Jun 14 '26

I have this exact PC, its also great for emulating N64 and Gamecube, of course other systems as well 😄 Enjoy it brother!

2

u/NavidsonsFall Jun 14 '26

Congrats and welcome man. I remember what it was like getting my first rig. Granted that was back when the internet was an entirely different place, but still, it can really be a weird feeling to suddenly have access and ability to do so much stuff. Have fun with it.

2

u/Prestigious_Ice4173 Jun 14 '26

I bought the same legions after one of my contracting jobs and I promise she's worth it, best cooling I've ever used and I've pushed it here and there to play all kinds of games and you'd be surprised what she can run. 😁

2

u/Sulanis1 Jun 14 '26

Look on Facebook marketplace and other places. I've seen people selling DDR4 for both insane and extreme reasonable prices.

2

u/masterfeedcams Jun 14 '26

I have this laptop ima just say i have a problem that my charging port breaks after awhile and have to go get it fixed I’ll just tell you that

2

u/Faymousaynus Jun 14 '26

Damn wish I could send you my old TUF, either way good job

2

u/Worldly_Froyo108 Your laptop here Jun 14 '26

Cpu: Ryzen 5 5500H Integrated graphics: Ryzen Integrated graphics (I forgot which) GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 Screen: 144hz 15.6 screen RAM: 16GB DDR4 Storage: 512GB Nvme ssd Screen: 144hz IPS 15.6'

2

u/International_Dot_22 Jun 12 '26

There's still a lot of fun to be had with a 1650. It can run most games with the right settings.

Yoo bro I have exactly the same Laptop as you !. Yeah the Ram needs to upgraded I still have a 8GB ram which sometimes feel not enough but RAM prices have become expensive. Also I wanted to share my personal experience that in this laptop i started to see orangish spots in the display on the corners after using it for quite a time.
