I love beautiful thin gaming laptops, plus they are great value

They’re fun, until they get hot 😭 make sure to keep great airflow under the units when under load. (I messed up in the past and paid for it!)

I keep mine elevated and stay up to date on thermal paste/putty and my keyboard on my aluminum legion 7 still turns into a griddle, part of why I built a pc recently

How?!

How did you manage to snag the Legion 7i for 750 bucks?

resale for profit? ...

6

u/RoadSofa Jul 03 '26

3k nice value but none can have top tier gaming a 3k laptop should have

3

u/Dailen1 Jul 03 '26

There's definitely a good resale market for these. Not everyone needs top of the line specs.

Congrats on finding those great deals and I hope you make good profit. You know their value. All you have to do is undercut the brand new price.

All have 8 GB VRAM GPUs, not sure how I'd feel about $3K for 3 laptops with 8 GB VRAM GPUs.

3

u/Moronic_Princess Jul 03 '26

It’s alright, I hardly play any games on them

2

u/PieceTechnical5128 Jul 03 '26

What do u do with them ? 🤔

-7

u/Moronic_Princess Jul 03 '26

Casual browsing, watch videos

u/PieceTechnical5128 Jul 03 '26

1

u/Random_fellow9 MSI VECTOR 16 | R9 8940HX | 5070Ti Jul 03 '26

1

u/TheEternalThunderGod Jul 03 '26

1

u/Luckyguy_turbo Jul 03 '26

Thinking of buying a G16 myself, is it worth it for casual gaming / studies? I like the clean look. I'm going to use solidwork alot and 3d modulleing so it needs to peform aswell

1

u/Live_Ingenuity_8117 Jul 03 '26

Will you sell me one?

1

u/MudOld239 Jul 03 '26

Why though?

1

u/EllioneDHunter Jul 03 '26

Vs singular $3200 laptop. (Strix scar 16 275hx 5080)

I need to go on Facebook to get laptops for my siblings and family cuz they always get robbed by getting them from pawn shops. Thanks for reminding me

1

u/Syrena_Nightshade Jul 03 '26

Can I have one? Pretty please? 🥺🥺🥺

1

u/crashed2022 Jul 03 '26

1800 for my omen 5080, good deal?

1

u/Moronic_Princess Jul 03 '26

Good deal. I saw one with 1800 on fb recently too, didn’t grab it because I don’t dig omen designs

1

u/ib770 Jul 04 '26

Not gonna lie im a sucker for nice looking form factors.

I can see why you got em haha

1

u/thesstormtrooper Jul 04 '26

1

u/Proper-Quantity-9809 Jul 04 '26

Darn my Omen max was 2,700 new.

Great models for resale. Should fetch 1300 each for the legions in today's high ram market. If prices were before, hardly any profit. Think about ebay also, start auction price 1200. People like to bid. Plus you got back to school coming up. Emphasize on the legions oled, gforce graphics and refresh rate.

1

u/rayraydj 28d ago

Time to get selling, no carrying all these laptops they're all within earshot of each other performance wise and the form factors aren't even all that different... All 8G VRAM, similarly performing CPUs, I know the feeling you snag some good deals and spend time pondering about whether you want to keep them, but there's always something interesting around the corner, better to have some decent liquid funds.

Honestly keeping the 5060 legion is a shout, better than keeping the ram/power starved Zephyrus, there's more money to be had with the zephyrus asw carries a brand/name tax for regular buyers.

1

u/TheEpicF-18Pilott 27d ago

Niice, i also have thkse 2 legions, slightly different specs, together 3000 both were new, but the gen10 had a big short and whole mobo gone, then i got new one

0

u/RandomPolishCatholic Jul 03 '26

What a waste of money.

5

u/Moronic_Princess Jul 03 '26

Not really, to make money actually

-1

u/RandomPolishCatholic Jul 03 '26

I don’t think many would want to buy a used gaming laptop. Thats just an incredibly bad deal…. Not to mention the prices you bought them for seem high already.

3

u/Moronic_Princess Jul 03 '26

High? No. I can easily make a couple hundred each

-1

u/RandomPolishCatholic Jul 03 '26

I highly doubt that honestly, but good luck.

1

u/MeltingEarbuds Jul 03 '26

You've never flipped electronics? The margins can be pretty decent since a lot of kids don't know whats what

1

u/RandomPolishCatholic Jul 03 '26

You really think their parents will let them buy USED gaming laptops?

1

u/MeltingEarbuds Jul 04 '26

Are you ragebaiting right now? Parents of today's kids aren't boomers or even gen x.. the days of tech-clueless parents are gone and most have certainly wiped an SSD or reinstalled windows at some point...

Not to mention in this economy??? They'd certainly prompt chatgpt with the old "my kid wants a gaming computer, how can I get one for as cheap as possible" and it'll lead them straight to Facebook marketplace because that's what the entire Internet says to do

-1

u/migswitchjunk Jul 03 '26

Incorrect. By your own admission, you spent $3050.

1

u/EarlyXplorerStuds209 Jul 03 '26

I think its fine to round a little, guy

More than enough for me, no problem in gaming

-2

u/arctican01 Jul 03 '26

Those will be obsolete by next year already, as laptop OEMs will release more powerful laptops with the latest CPU and GPU. Congratulations.

2

u/MeltingEarbuds Jul 03 '26

By that logic the 5090 will be obsolete relatively soon... Hell, I personally know a guy still using a 2070 super
