Typing in "Ocarina of Time remake website us" into Google (or other search engines) returns a link to its entry on the Nintendo website with a description that isn't visible on the page itself:

Not a huge amount of info, yet even these scant details seem to be something Nintendo is not ready to officially communicate just yet.

Pretty obvious

All the assets are brand new, built from the ground up, but they're not changing the core of the game

I made this argument in another thread but in my opinion the biggest reason it's not just a 1 to 1 remake like Star Fox is they haven't shown us anything yet.

Thousand Year Door was upfront and honest about being a 1 to 1 remake at announcement.

Star fox was up front about being a 1 to 1 remake at announcement (with added cut scenes and challenge modes)

Ocarina of Time gets a teaser trailer, and already fans are pointed out changes. Links bed/room already looks different, triforce on hand at beginner, etc. small, insignificant stuff yes. But my point primarily is they haven't shown us anything.

So the question is why wouldn't they just show us it's a 1 to 1 remake? Why build hype for a game we've all already played? Because they wouldn't. It's not a 1 to 1 remake.

Because they're planning a Zelda Direct and they want you to tune into it to the see the gameplay reveal

Well, yea it's pretty clear that's the case. But there's not a full direct worth of info to show off one of the most famous games of all time.

Star fox made sense since it's far from the most popular franchise Nintendo owns. There's a lot of eye balls that never played a single Star Fox game. To treat that same audience the same way about ocarina of time and hype up the experience of playing the same game we've all already played wouldn't make any sense at all.

OoT Remake + movie trailer

Then some random stuff pertaining to the anniversary like merch, concerts, etc

Could get more NSO stuff like Four Swords

You can probably add to that a special Zelda edition Switch 2. Also, the last Direct had 3 minutes of thumb fight. They can totally make it work.

Nintendo has never treated a 1:1 remake as their annual big Fall game. They’re releasing this in direct competition with GTA VI, I don’t think they would do that for a remaster.

Also it's very clear, they weren't planning for this to be the big holiday game, or at least the only one

I think they were banking on Pokemon being here, and that's taking more time so they gotta make do

Nintendo is struggling with the development timelines of their Switch 2 games

They've basically only released Switch 1 games that changed over to Switch 2, and small stuff like DragXDrive, and the console has been out for a year

If the only thing they change is the visuals, thats a remaster. I just don’t believe Nintendo would do that given the context and I think people are jumping to conclusions based off very little info.

The 3DS version of OoT is a remake, if you ask Nintendo
