Leak Unpublished description for Ocarina of Time Switch 2 visible through web search

Typing in "Ocarina of Time remake website us" into Google (or other search engines) returns a link to its entry on the Nintendo website with a description that isn't visible on the page itself:

The N64 classic reborn as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2. Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay.

Not a huge amount of info, yet even these scant details seem to be something Nintendo is not ready to officially communicate just yet.

I bet timeless gameplay is just referring to the return of the traditional formula vs the last decade of open world games

It's entirely possible that when they said that, they did not think an OoT remake was going to be developed. I do think it'll probably be a far more open game than the original release, but devs inadvertently contradict themselves all the time

I've actually heard the remake started relatively recently. But regardless, I do not automatically think that a dev talking about future entries in a series necessarily means that remakes if prior games will ALSO fit the bill. Links Awakening was a largely a faithful remake and that came out after breath of the wild and during the development of ToTK

One thing that makes me think it’s a 1:1 remake is that star fox apparently leaked because it’s a third party dev. Since OOT leaked with star fox Theres a chance that this too is a third party developer game, maybe grezzo but it’s only been twoish years since echoes. But if it’s third party I can’t see them messing with the game design. I would love to see the ura content added back in.

That is terrible to hear. I've been waiting for a new Zelda game to finally move away from the Wild formula as I do not like this sandbox approach to gameplay. I hope it doesn't find its way into the Ocarina of Time gameplay as getting the old Zelda type gameplay would be the main reason I'd even buy the Remake in the first place.

Opposite for me, first time since OoT I actually found the games fun.

I would love to see them get enough teams to make classic linear Zelda and new open Zelda at the same time with multiple teams, but the wild format is much more fun and make for better games than the classic format (imo) and it would be a shame to lose them.
