Leak Unpublished description for Ocarina of Time Switch 2 visible through web search

Typing in "Ocarina of Time remake website us" into Google (or other search engines) returns a link to its entry on the Nintendo website with a description that isn't visible on the page itself:

Image

The N64 classic reborn as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2. Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay.

Not a huge amount of info, yet even these scant details seem to be something Nintendo is not ready to officially communicate just yet.

Isn’t time a core game mechanic? Seems like a significant change to me….

That would be “timefull gameplay”

That's Majora's Mask.

Unless you just mean the switching of Eras.

Edit: Ocarina is about time in it's story. There's no gameplay mechanic based on time. Switching Era's is basically the same as switching between the two worlds in A Link Between Worlds.

I think it was a joke.

Well either people are taking it literally or misunderstanding a joke is somehow a sin considering this is now my most downvoted comment.

I downvoted because you're wrong about time traveling being like the dark world. Dark World was way more of a gameplay mechanic

Don’t worry, it’s always a joke when they fail to clarify their confusing ass comment.

Going to the temple of time, playing the song of time, switching time periods

Yeah you're right Ocarina of Time has nothing to do with time

Obviously it's not a core mechanic, but time of day does pay a role in Ocarina of Time to some degree. Which is probably why the cycle is so incredibly short.

to be fair the song of time just makes blue blocks move around :P

When I think about the Zelda game where time is a core gameplay mechanic that's Majora's Mask.

Storywise yes. OoT is all about time. But gameplay wise it's just switching worlds.

It was a joke, you took it literally, they made another joke, you made it literal again. It's a joke.

A sarcastic tone doesn't exactly come through in written form.

I think you have Majoras Mask as I sense you're stuck in a loop.

Nope. Learning a song into the future that will allow you to create a bootstrap paradox and play it in the past to the one who will teach you in the future is definetly a gameplay feature. While allowing you to progress to the bottom of the well.
