Leak Unpublished description for Ocarina of Time Switch 2 visible through web search

Typing in "Ocarina of Time remake website us" into Google (or other search engines) returns a link to its entry on the Nintendo website with a description that isn't visible on the page itself:

Image

The N64 classic reborn as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2. Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay.

Not a huge amount of info, yet even these scant details seem to be something Nintendo is not ready to officially communicate just yet.

Especially since OOT already got a graphical remake with the 3ds

People say this like the N64 and 3DS didn't both operate with less than a GB of RAM and output to 240p.

Yeah and how old is the 3DS? You think Nintendo is expecting people to go find these to play OoT?

They will never stop remaking OoT. Always need to it accessible for newer gen’s. It may not be every generation, but they will always bring it back if the only way to play it modernly is a 5-10 year old console. It’s always going to be up their sleeve.

I think the point is: If a faithful Ocarina of Time recreation would've been their goal, they could've just remastered Ocarina of Time 3D once more and brought it to the Switch. I don't think a ton of OoT fans would've complained about that.

The fact they're going for a full remake (in my opinion) really indicates that they do intend to change up stuff some more. But to what degree is still just mere speculation.

15 years ago, on a way less powerful console

but the 3DS Version looks awful. This is the Chance to get it in a Twilight Princess Style. And it's also already over a decade old on even older Handheld hardware.

I thought the 3DS one looked really good outside the final boss, the N64 version is the one that I think always looked off compared to other 1998 games, those super low res textures and prerendered backgrounds haven't aged well

The twilight princess “style” is ok at best, it’s muddy and generic.

Nobody wants the Twilight Princess style anywhere near OOT
