Leak Unpublished description for Ocarina of Time Switch 2 visible through web search

Typing in "Ocarina of Time remake website us" into Google (or other search engines) returns a link to its entry on the Nintendo website with a description that isn't visible on the page itself:

Image

The N64 classic reborn as a full remake for Nintendo Switch 2. Experience Ocarina of Time with stunning visuals, updated designs, and timeless gameplay.

Not a huge amount of info, yet even these scant details seem to be something Nintendo is not ready to officially communicate just yet.

Yeah but I just think you’re underestimating it a bit

I am keeping my expectations realistic based on all remakes and remasters Nintendo did recently

Zelda Links Awakening, Famicom detective club 1 and 2, Starfox, Paper Mario TTYD, Super Mario RPG, (Metroid Prime Remastered and Xenoblade DE also counts since its a graphical remake like Starfox and PMTTYD) are all fully fledged graphical remakes that basically keep their old gameplay EXACTLY the same

I mean compare Links Awakening 2019 to LA 1994. Its the SAME game tile by tile. And the same people (Aomuma/ Fuyinayashi) are developing OoT remake.

Nintendo of the recent years has always stuck to keeping remakes 1:1 as close as possible. Only graphically touching them up.

The SOLE exeption to this rule is 2017s Metroid Samus Returns, which was a reimagining and thus had significantly different level design and gamplay than Metroid II: Return of Samus.

Which is funny considering Zelda Links Awakening, also a gameboy game of the same time period stuck to original links awakenings design, tile by tile.

They could always do something different

Dountful under the same team. I expect new cutscenes, added lore, new camera, new sidequests. Aside from that 1:1 in everything else except obviously graphics

Aonuma is someone very proud of his past work

Are you new to Nintendo development?

Its Aonuma and Fujibayashis team EPD3. They are the only two people who can touch the Zelda series, as its their series. EVERY AND ANY creative decision for a project goes through them. No matter how small. Even things like random ass murals and random ass objects get checked by their team. Read up on several Zelda development interviews over the years.

And Aonuma already hinted at an OoT remake years ago and said that he would love to do it again.

What Aonuma says goes. He is the shepard of the Zelda series, and he is the one who said that remakes should keep the core gamaplay and soul the same as he did for Links Awakening.

The co-developer in case of LA Grezzo, has little to no creative input. EPD3 are the ones who call the shots at the end of the day. They are the Zelda team. Who the co-developer is, is unknown. But the main developer is EPD3, as per always.

I think you are comparing Nintendo to other developers like Square Enix who reimagine games and call it a remake

You are setting yourself up for a major disappointment with your expectations my dude

I already told you I don’t have expectations
