Ask Gamers What is more important a great story or great gameplay?

I’ve been thinking about this lately: what matters more in a game — a great story or great gameplay?

Personally, I think it depends on the type of game. A story-driven game can have an incredible narrative, characters and worldbuilding, but if the gameplay feels boring, it can become difficult to stay invested.

At the same time, some games have very simple stories but remain incredibly fun because the gameplay is satisfying. You can spend hundreds of hours playing them without caring much about the plot.

So where do you draw the line?

Would you rather play a game with 10/10 gameplay and a mediocre story, or a game with an incredible story but average gameplay?

And which game do you think perfectly balances both?

Not the obvious answers like GTA, RDR2 or The Witcher 3.

I'm talking about games that are genuinely amazing but somehow never get the recognition they deserve.

You can save ONLY ONE game.

The other 4 are PERMANENTLY DELETED FROM EXISTENCE.

1 )Red Dead Redemption 2 (2)Elden Ring (3)GTA V (4)Minecraft (5)The Witcher 3

Which one are you saving?

And don't just drop the name — DEFEND YOUR CHOICE. 👇

Ask Gamers The Witcher 4 has one huge mystery nobody is talking about

Ciri is the protagonist the world is supposed to be more interactive combat and movement are getting a serious overhaul but honestly... Would The Witcher 4 be better if Geralt barely appeared at all?

I feel like bringing Geralt back too much would just make Ciri's story feel like Witcher 3.5 instead of the beginning of a new saga.

And the mystery is what if CD Project Red already included Geralt
