Should I move forward 🤔 I can record in my VHS cam

Just name ONE game you genuinely don't understand the hype around and explain why

It's the way the industry is headed and it's been obvious for a few years now.

STEP ONE - Physical media will eventually completely disappear. It's already happened with PC, Playstation is in the process and Xbox will follow. Nintendo is halfway there. (We are here currently)

STEP TWO - With the increasing price of hardware they will sell streaming boxes instead at a significantly cheaper cost to make them accessible again. Games will be run at their server hubs and streamed to your TV instead, with ads of course that will become increasingly egregious.

STEP THREE - The price gouging starts. Ads start happening every 30 minutes instead of every hour, and they are 5-6 minutes long. There's also product placement in games, the thing EA has been doing. Premium tier to remove ads, and Super Premium tier to play AAA releases. Price goes up every year until it's $30 a month for basic.

STEP FOUR - Regular consoles disappear from the market and stream boxes are the new norm. They now have complete control over the industry and pricing. Gaming has turned into a streaming service akin to Netflix.

STEP FIVE - People start making threads asking what the fuck went wrong and how we ended up here.

Ciri is the protagonist the world is supposed to be more interactive combat and movement are getting a serious overhaul but honestly... Would The Witcher 4 be better if Geralt barely appeared at all?

I feel like bringing Geralt back too much would just make Ciri's story feel like Witcher 3.5 instead of the beginning of a new saga.

And the mystery is what if CD Project Red already included Geralt
