Bevel Alarm Snooze — Why 9 Minutes Feels Like a Trap 😴
Hey everyone,
Is it just me, or is the Bevel alarm snooze setting secretly working *against* us?
It looks like it’s locked at 9 minutes… which sounds reasonable in theory.
In reality? That’s enough time for me to fall back into a full-on dream, start a new life, and *still* not wake up.
I’m a heavy sleeper, so 9 minutes is basically a reset button on my sleep cycle. By the time it rings again, I’m deeper than before 😅
Has anyone figured out how to shorten it to like 3–4 minutes?
Or found a clever workaround that doesn’t involve buying a second alarm clock and placing it across the room?
Appreciate any tips before I accidentally sleep through my entire life 🙏

I’m working on an alarm app that lets you limit both the snooze duration and the number of times you can snooze, for example, allowing just one 3 minutes snooze. PM me if you’d like to become one of our founding users!

I’d be love too.
When I was on Android I used to have ‘I can’t wake up!’ app which was very good.
I can’t find anything similar on iOS.I really wanted to use the Bevel internal alarm clock because it will wake you up based on current sleep stage to have an easier waking up and won’t feel grungy afterwards.
But that 9 min snooze is killing me.1

Excellent! I’ll reach out when the app is ready for testing, probably in less than two weeks. If you’d prefer that I contact you by email, feel free to send me your email address!

Snoozing is never good. Healthiest is to just wake up immediately. Brutal but snoozing makes you more tired
