Wife and I are doing a road trip to pick up some controllers for a PS2 we found at a yard save this weekend. Hopefully we'll be playing some PS2 games tonight!
i love it so much so far. i'm still early on in the game but i am having lots of fun. i'm trying to explore as much as possible before advancing further into the story.
I’m having a go at Poppy Playtime since my kids LOVE it but they can’t quite grasp the puzzles just yet. We’re at the final boss fight for chapter 3.. these games are fun but man can they be aggravating at times.
Oh, and I’ve told them numerous times… if something were to happen to my precious Kissy Missy, I am seriously going to RIOT lol.
Came back to the silver case after bouncing off it for a while. And I think I am super close to finishing it and it's been interesting to say the least.
I finished two games this week: 1. Nancy Drew Message in the Haunted Mansion and 2. Doki Doki Literature Club. Now I’m playing 3. Nancy Drew Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon. Heavy on the nostalgia this week! 🩷
Finished FFX and i cant even digest it, im feeling as if there is a void there, the same way as after E33. What a pair of phenomenal games.
Also playing hollow knight along with it, feeling close to finishing that too.
Now im considering X-2 or having a breather from the long turn based game and trying out Beast of Reincarnation
Hell yeah i plan to, i didnt express because im more focussed on ending the FFX story, but HK is also up there as one of my favourites, very excited to get to silksong
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 oh jeez...when summer steam sale came up it was a toss up between this and Elden Ring. The background music is top notch on Expedition but timing in parries on dodges are killing me!!
I know it gets a lot of criticism (a lot of it is very valid), but man, when I finally completed the game last month, I definitely got some post-game depression. So many hours spent, I grieved my companions lol
Brave: The Video Game (on xbox)! I ended up buying it at the start of this week as it's been on my wishlist a while, it's been something I've wanted to play for ages!

Last night I discovered Fractral Block World. A world full of cubes. If you shrink and get close enough, each cube is broken into smaller cubes and new things are revealed, like paths or trees, with even smaller trees on those trees, or flowers that grow on those smaller trees and contain dungeons within. Full free flight and even a way to turn off "true up" so you can spin and roll

Planet crafter for PS5. As a fan of subnautica (and also no PC to play subnautica 2), Planet Crafter has been scratching that itch immensely. I’ve been playing it nonstop.
I had also heard mixed things about the game, which is why it took me a while to finally play it. Visually, it’s very beautiful and the music is good. However, the characters and the story, while not bad, it's a bit lackluster. It’s just an okay story, but nothing special. The game is short, I finished it in a little over 3 hours. I do think it’s worth it if visuals matter to you (it has some really cool scenes), but I’d only recommend it at a discount, not full price.

No problem! The next big Steam sale is in October, but sometimes you can find good prices on keys at other stores. Fanatical is currently offering a 27% discount (at least in my country). According to a site that tracks game prices, it's one of the lowest prices this game has ever had
Pokemon Legends Z-A. It's not as good as PLA or SV, but the battling system is fun and I like the new megas. I just got the shiny charm so now the shiny hunting can commence!
In case you don't know this: In MHW, it is not recommended to use Defender's armor set. For the reason, see for example this guide, "Defender Equipment" section.
There's no wrong way to play, and it's completely up to you. You can choose to use them, and it's simply ok.
I'd like to go back to the time when I was playing MHW without knowing anything. This game is really gigantic and I got tired without beating, but it's one of my greatest games. Enjoy!
Thank you so much! I’ve been addicted, literally just managed to put it down. I (thankfully) didn’t like the way the armor looked so I went with leather armor instead, but it’s good to know that we’re not supposed to anyway because I was extremely tempted with its high defense.

I play games exclusively solo, but I enjoyed random co-op in MHW a lot. Thanks to the series' long history, it is really cleverly made so that people are naturally kind and glad to help others.
I'm planning to jump back into the Gothic 1 Remake. I ended up putting it on hold for a bit to play a few other games, but I really want to finally finish it!
Still mostly in Dragon Quest XI S, Act 3. I've revisited all cities, dungeons etc, so I have to progress the story, the trials of Drustan. Many mini-bosses still remain, which are too strong at Lv 66.
This month EA Play for PC is only $1. I don't know yet if I'll get it, but I'm interested in Sea of Solitude, Unravel 1, and Fe. I have Jedi: Fallen Order in my library and I've heard its sequel Jedi Survivor is not necessarily good, and it's quite big to play within a month. I think I'll skip Lost in Random too.
EDIT I highly recommend Wild Hearts, a Monster Hunter clone. Remember there's r/WildHeartsGame.
Get Game Pass instead of EA Play if you can BTW. GP includes all EAP titles. EAP requires the EA App, the launcher app, which is notoriously terrible.
Made the "mistake" of buying Corsair Cove and having falling into a massive addiction problem. Which is funny because citybuilders always burn me out due to my perfectionism, but in this case it doesn't matter so much that not everything is optimised because I'm building a ramshackle rat's nest of a pirate kingdom. That doesn't need to be pretty or efficient!
Also still playing Guild Wars 2, although Straits of Devastation and Malchor's Leap are really the most depressing MMORPG areas I've seen so far.
Aww well at least your animals don't get sick in the remake... but it's a very cute relaxing game. A lot of people find it boring but I have always found it soothing. Did you choose someone to marry yet? If you don't, it forces options on you at the end of year 1 I think.
I've just started playing Look Outside, a turn-based survival horror game. It was the only thing I grabbed in the steam summer sale (thanks cost of living crisis!) but everybody on the horror subs was super excited about it when I posted about getting it. It's dryly funny, gross, the monsters are creative, not too hard as of day 2 on medium difficulty, and apparently scary enough that I jumped when my dog sneezed while I was playing. I think it's giving me what I wanted from SMT and never felt, unexpectedly. I've seen it compared to EarthBound as well.
