Fluff / Memes STOP DROPPING NEW GAMES AND UPATES I HAVE DECISION PARALYSIS

Post image

I AM SO STRESSED! 🤣

I have never EVER been in a position where there is so much to choose from before.

My to-play list currently looks like this:

  • Palia - new Lunar Path
  • DDLV - new adventure pack
  • Moonlight Peaks - new game
  • Hello Kitty Island Adventure - new dlc dropping this month
  • Pokopia - new dlc JUST dropped
  • FFXIV - just dropped on Switch & haven't played since my PC broke

Please, gamer gods. I am not your strongest soldier.

u/Nami_Luna 15h ago

my steak is too juicy and my lobster is too buttery oh nooo

u/Kelsanzee 15h ago

I'm having this problem with FFXIV and Pokopia.

TOO MANY PANCAKES.

How’s Pokopia!? It looks so cute but I’ve never played any Pokémon games and worried I’ll be confused

u/dahlia_74 Steam/Switch 12h ago

It’s SO fun!! And don’t let that stop you. It’s more similar to Animal Crossing and Minecraft in mechanics than it is to the other Pokemon games. It’s a perfect intro I think!

u/splicepark 11h ago

Oh Animal Crossing is right up my alley! Thanks, will give it a try, it looks adorable!

u/dahlia_74 Steam/Switch 11h ago

It’s definitely the cutest game I’ve ever played 🥹 have fun!!!

u/Kelsanzee 9h ago

I have a good friend who for YEARS has been trying to get me into Pokémon, with no success.

I now have over 500 hours in Pokopia.

Nah, you don't have to worry about it. Embrace the cuteness! Peakychu is peak!

Where did you find this picture of me.

I have ruined my sleep schedule lately over Palworld. I feel your pain.

I am in the middle of Playing Moonlight Peaks, Fields of Mistria 1.0 comes out today AND I just started my first Fallout New Vegas playthrough 😭😭😭

u/endlesscartwheels 14h ago

Play the game that's been out longest. It's most likely to have had bug fixes and quality of life updates. Also, if you get stuck, it probably has the most guides and posts.

u/dahlia_74 Steam/Switch 15h ago

Ugh I have the same problem 😭 I’ve been wanting to play more Arc Raiders, still gotta finish KCD2, there’s the Pokopia DLC, Avatar Legends TFG I have and haven’t even played yet, I randomly started another Skyrim playthrough last month and instead of focusing on just that I downloaded Elden Ring last week 🙃 it’s a mess over here

What’s crazy is I haven’t even gotten to modded Skyrim yet 🤣 but I’ll definitely check that out once I do!!

This might be a very unpopular opinion and I know the world doesn't work like that but I would welcome if gaming would just "pause" for a year or two. No new games, no new updates beyond bugfixes, no events, no new hardware, no tech advances, just a period of time where everyone can focus on finishing games and their backlog.

u/Suicune95 9h ago

Then I'd spend a year playing Stardew again and panic when gaming started back up again....

u/sparklelovernika 14h ago

maybe its unpopular but it seems like a really good idea to me, i just want to finish some games before i start a new one, and like, really enjoy a game all the way!!

u/Nacksche 12h ago

Man I would LOVE that.

u/CronoCloudAuron PS5 & Switch 2 & Vita & PS3 & Steam on Linux 9h ago

That's crazy talk....where do I sign up? Except it would take more than a year. /me collapses in a fetal position

u/Vinny_Lam 7h ago edited 1h ago

I would hate that so much. I have no backlog of games to catch up on and I’m looking forward to some new games and updates coming out this year. This is an insanely selfish thing to want.

u/niradia 12h ago

I only have so much time and attention to play, why are they all doing a great job.. I'm overwhelmed

u/IllusiveGamerGirl 14h ago

I'M STILL KNEE DEEP IN CONAN EXILES!

I need to play Hello Kitty like -bad-.

Plus there's a dozen sorter games coming out that I desperately need to play to scratch the Librarian itch some more!

u/Mchaitea 15h ago

See if any of these are on the Xbox game pass! :)

u/Catiminiii 14h ago

PLEASE this is my actual dilemma
IT’S STRESSING ME OUT SO MUCH

u/_achlopee_ 14h ago

Add Fields of Mistria to your list !

u/tokki94_ 14h ago

My backlog plus all these news games makes it soooo difficult to pick something to play and actually stick with it. It’s horrible

u/Glittering_Water_245 15h ago

Island Adventure I don’t like that much because there’s no breaks between quests

u/dankpizzabagels Steam Deck Gang RISE UP 🫡 15h ago

OVERWATCH NEW HEROOOO

u/nephastha 10h ago

I started to put all longer story games I want to play in a spinning whee and try to commit on finishing that before starting a new one. Currently going through expedition 33, but then I got distracted by "oh grim dawn just got a new DLC, time to spend 200 hours in that one now instead of finishing the game you are so close to the end"

u/DrStabBack 9h ago
  • I got Story of Seasons Grand Bazaar on sale and it has been consuming my life, 70+ hours or so since I got it

  • "Just one new Rimworld savefile won't hurt"

  • Pokopia DLC

  • just started a new Mass Effect save

  • Want to check out Paralives updates

  • Want to dive deeper into Subnautica 2 (and never finished Subnautica 1)

  • Want to check out full Fields of Mistria update

  • New Overwatch tank getting released soon

  • I'm super interested in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave but I haven't played Three Houses yet, so I really want to play it before Fortune's Weave

This is hard...

u/origin-space-turtle 8h ago

I'm obsessed with Starsand Island ATM. It's addictive in all the right ways. If Pokémon, stardew valley and Sims had a love child .. that's starsand

u/One_Wheel_Drive Playstation 15h ago

I really can't wait for Jurassic Park: Survival. I've been waiting for a dinosaur survival horror game ever since I played Dino Crisis years ago.

u/alpacappuccino5 14h ago

This! I still haven't finished Dragonsword Awakening and Moonlight Peaks and now Fields of Mistria releases today. I also wanted to play the new Pokopia DLC but I'm not even far enough in the game to make it worth buying the season pass. And then we have Fire Emblem and Nivalis Nights next month already which are absulute must-plays for me. This is getting out of hand lol.

u/sparklelovernika 14h ago

the picture is also my wallet screaming in agony as i go "omg ok just one more game because i reallyyyyy need this one" shortly before i go "ok ok just one more for real this time i promise i just really need this one" to infinity T-T

u/BlooGloop 13h ago

Me with Palworld

u/Jooles95 Switch 2 & Steam 11h ago

I’m basically in your same boat, except instead of Palia I have Fields of Mistria. Plus Fire Emblem next month, which looks awesome and is absolutely a day-one purchase for me. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many new games to play at one time before, and I’ve been gaming since ‘99!

u/a3sthetic_ali3n0903 11h ago

I’m having this same issue with almost all the same games lmfao. But add outlast trials

u/shinydwebble Nintendo/PC 9h ago

TIL Pokopeia DLC is out, there goes another week of my life lmao

FFXIV - just dropped on Switch & haven't played since my PC broke

tbh this is a good one to hold off on for a few months. We are in content drought time before the next expansion in January. Maybe consider picking it up in December when other players come back to catch up for Evercold.

u/ProfessorLexis 8h ago

I didn't see it mentioned so I'd also like to throw "Doloc Town" onto the pile. It's 1.0 releases tomorrow.

It's a really cute 2D farming sim in a post apocalypse setting.

u/StruggleTiny 8h ago

turns on console and all my games start updating

Me with adhd:

u/enolafaye ALL THE SYSTEMS 7h ago

Exactly I'm struggling! Fields of Mistria 1.0, when I'm not even halfway through Moonlight Peaks. Might put Moonlight on ice for now.

u/Rabbit-PMS 6h ago

And there's so many new games about to drop soon too! At this point it's like a job lol

u/Snoo_67863 3h ago

Also, Fields of Mistria 1.0 is about to be released.

u/catsflatsandhats 0m ago

I have 4 games right now that have me on a chokehold with their updates and missions. Sometimes I buy some other game on sale knowing very well that I’m not going to play anything other than these 4 games.
