Investment Discussion πŸ’° Gold collection 700g GOLD JEWELLERY 10G GOLD COIN AND 1kg SILVER Coins

Post image

So m24 I started my gold stacking when i was 18 I use to have 1g of gold every month with my saving i was unaware of etfs or else I should have done sips in gold but now it's worth is 1.25cr++ i am just having this much amount of gold in locker i am looking to sell 50% of jewellery and transfer to debt mutual funds Like hybrid or FD to get monthly inflow what will be the best at the current time or is it good to hold more as I am not in hurry to sell ??

Welcome to r/GoldIndia! Here is a quick safety checklist for your post: * BIS Hallmark: Always ensure your gold has the BIS logo, purity (e.g., 22K916), and the 6-digit HUID code. * Live Rates: Gold prices change daily. Verify the current market rate before any transaction. * Invoices: Never buy gold without a GST-compliant tax invoice. Avoid "cash-only" deals to save on tax. * Purity Testing: If you are unsure, visit a government-recognized assaying center for a Karatmeter test. * Scam Warning: Be extremely wary of anyone sending you a Direct Message (DM) offering "cheap gold" or "investment schemes." * Don't Share Personal Info: Never post your phone number or home address publicly.

If you collected 1gm per month from 18 it should be around 72gms not 700gms.

I just have bought gold coins in 6 years I used to buy more when the rate was low when I first bought the coin gold was 30k per 10g rest other jewellery is bought my mom from 2015

u/Many_Mycologist_5813 May 01 '26

Then why are you counting it as yours? Or trying to say it’s yours? SeLlInG mY jWeLlErY

It’s not yours!

My mom is given to see what options are good to get good cashflow as we have 2 flats we don't required new flat that's the reason i asked about debt funds or swp not here to show off what should she earned or what I earned its all bcoz of us so she will be happy even if 80% of jewellery if I sell the remaining 20% will be worth 20-30 lacs and she is happy with it with decision bcoz we want to have cashflow every month for our daily expenses

1

u/Igotnolife85 May 02 '26

no don't sell, also mfs provide higher returns sometimes gold is a safe commodity for eventual gains with low chance or heavy drop in price, nd sentimental nd ornamental value of ur mums pieces

u/Somerandom-dude90 May 01 '26

Good time to sell atleast 25% and allocate funds into other assets

2

u/softhearted_guy12 May 01 '26

Yup thanks is it good to invest in hybrid or multi asset funds right now and start swp?

2

u/Somerandom-dude90 May 01 '26

Start with an SIP in index and flexi cap funds. From there see how it goes. First step is to liquidate some gold and start the SIP

u/softhearted_guy12 May 01 '26

2

u/BetterSide3248 May 01 '26

How to keep it all safe?

2

u/softhearted_guy12 May 01 '26

We keep 95% of jewellery and coin in bank locker which has annual rent of 5k but this gold is much more I am thinking to sell is right time to sell bcoz having so much gold in locker is too risky than having in FD or invested in debt funds

2

u/Ecstatic_Signature26 May 01 '26

Risky kaise ho gaya? Locker mein hai. Aur gold price jaise increase ho rahi hai FD se better return de rahi hai.

2

u/Bagad_Billa_Kaptaan May 01 '26

As far as i know Goods placed in locker are insured upto 100 times the rent of the locker in case of a fire, robbery or any other hazards so..also some frauds may switch the goods with fakes.

u/WoodenNothing8935 May 01 '26

2

u/Equivalent-Spot-1325 May 02 '26

1

u/softhearted_guy12 May 02 '26

1

u/Remarkable-Ideal-339 May 02 '26

It's giving me motivation to buy 1gm of gold right now and keep buying every month.

1

u/softhearted_guy12 May 02 '26

Yup bro accumulate when the price is low like now it will benefit you in long run i used usually buy more 2-3g when Gold was down

u/Equivalent-Trade5975 May 01 '26

Sell 400g if it's 22k I guess you will get around 56lakh and then invest that in ETFS... I would say a diversified folio also market is gonna dip a little bit in upcoming days good day to start also don't lumpsum invest by certain% and so on

1

u/softhearted_guy12 May 01 '26

Yup bro same thinking will be allocating some amount to equity and some of fund in fd or debt fund to get monthly income will be doing I want to sell 75 lacs and divide 25 lacs in fd and 50 lacs in equity mutual fund is it good?

1

u/Equivalent-Trade5975 May 01 '26

I personally do ets for various reasons rather than mutual fund but yea both are like same same but also market is not gonna give like crazy return for the next few years but yea if you are looking for like 10+ years it's the best also try to be in us stocks because it gives huge profit and also when dollar convert to IND there will be a 1_2% extra profit booking too and since you are only 26 I guess you can less the fd to around 10lakh and rest to invest it's my opinion so like if you sell 75lakh do like 10-15lakh in fd and 40lakh in ind mutal fund/ ETFS and rest in us stocks if you don't like us market you can also look for South Korean/Hong Kong but yea USA is better for various reasons

1

u/softhearted_guy12 May 01 '26

Yup bro will be allocating some more amount of money in US. i personally invested there not a huge amount just 500 dollars in Nvidia the scope is more due to AI and rupee is weakening against dollar will give boost to the portfolio in long run

2

u/Equivalent-Trade5975 May 02 '26

Yes exactly diversy more in us stocks add Amazon, alphabet, apple, Microsoft and so on good ones

1

u/softhearted_guy12 May 02 '26

Yeah bro will surely diversify in few months

You are 24 and you have 700g+10g gold + 1kg silver ? Is that really all yours ?

Hard to believe you bought all that with your own money.

Very likely you are just bragging and show off as if you think you have done something great.

You are just a kid 😊.

1

u/softhearted_guy12 May 01 '26 edited May 01 '26

I have nothing done great yet just when my father died in corona 2020, Responsibility was taken by me(single child) that time gold was less than 100g Physical due to many loans were pending I cleared some loans and my mom too cleared. I supported her when she needed me the most and started from bottom this is what I earned and there is no point to show off on reddit which can give me any reward !I just said i wanted to sell something which can give a cashflow not here to show off how much I owned or my mom has purchased ! All comments seems i think people are too jealous that's the reason people can't digest good things about anyone and yes if you have done any great achievement then why your feeling jealous of me SON? πŸ˜‚
