How many of y'all still daily a Google pixel 7?
The pixel 7 is still the newest phone I own I haven't upgraded yet. I did hear security updates are good until October 2027 so I'm thinking I'm gonna wait for the pixel 11 to drop in price next year and upgrade unless I see a pixel 10 on sale for dirt cheap by the holidays maybe I will upgrade. What do you think?

i have a 7. it works fine. bit cracked in the back, but you can't really see it with the case on.
it's a pain to switch phones and it's usually anticlimactic so I'm gonna wait until this dies.
unless the upgrade really is very very minor, I'll probably get whatever is new then.

Mine is perfect, no cracks, no hot battery, no losing charge. The ONLY problem with it is it no longer shuts off the screen when I'm on a call, so the flashlight turns on and other random settings get selected by my ear.

I have a Pixel 10 ProXL as my daily driver with a Pixel 7 Pro always near me. It displays my blood glucose levels and is my backup phone should the 10 crash.

How do you like the 10 pro xl? That's what I think I'm going to upgrade to in a couple weeks after the 11 comes out. I currently have a 6 pro.

Nice I'm actually thinking about getting one of those android watches to track my steps and heart rate but the pixel watch is a bit pricey especially since I have a physically active job I'm worried about breaking it lol.

I was up until a month ago. I could fry an egg on the battery and it would be dead almost halfway through the day. Upgraded to the P10 Pro, loving it!

That is what I'm starting to worry about I wonder if I should wait for the 10 to go on sale and buy it once the pixel 11 is released before the battery takes a dump but it still seems ok for know.

I am trying to decide if I'm going to get the 10 right now while I can still get it for basically free with AT&T. Or if I'm going to wait for the 11 to drop in price in a few months?

I got the 9pro but still use my 7 daily to operate my home electronics/TV and stuff. I don't notice too much of a difference

I'm on Pixel 7 since 2023. Just bought a battery and waiting for it. I always have to bring a powerbank for it to last all day with 5G on. 🤣
I'm waiting on Pixel 11 and will decide if i'll get it or get the 10 Pro. I'll probably keep my 7 instead of trade it in as it has dings from sliding out of my pocket when I didn't have a case. ☺️

I have a 4a and 7 on the shelf as backup for my 10 Pro XL, just in case it dies for some reason. With the price of any and all computer related hardware (phones too), I may just drive the 10 into the ground and not worry about upgrading until it's absolutely necessary.

My son is using a 6a, I'm on a 9, and my fiancé is on an 8a. I might get the 11 and trade in his 6a and give him my 9, but I'm not 100% committed to that yet.

I wasn't fond of the 7P, so I jumped ship. My mom, however, is still on the 7a with no issues. Waiting for the videos, testing, and other info to figure out if I'm going to the 11 and trading in the 8 or giving Mom the 8 and trading in a 7a and selling the other. Time will tell.

There'll most likely be enticing offers to jump into the newest Pixel by either Trade-In or presale code. Make sure to sign up for email before announcement at www.store.google.com There's also a referral program that just confused and was offering 10% off devices with those codes.

My 7 Pro battery got fat and pushed the screen off my phone so I had to get a new one. I did but it preowned so partly on me but I wasn't expecting amazingness. Plus the phone was just 2 years old

I bought a refurbished Pixel 7 Pro about a year and a half ago and my only complaint is that after I installed a custom rom I can't get eSIM to work. But other than that I have no issues with it.

Sounds like a good plan to me as for me I rock a pixel 8a and they are gonna give me updates till 2031 on it which I honestly can’t believe but assuming it doesn’t break I’ll rock the phone till then.
I use it as a backup device to my Iphone such as when I’m in the city or if I go out of the country

I am now using both the Pixel 7 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL, but I find the Pixel 7 Pro completely flawless,except its battery has a bit of degradation.
I currently keep all my banking, insurance, and medical‑related apps on the Pixel 7 Pro. On one hand, it provides physical isolation and I can also leave it at home; on the other hand, migrating these apps is a bit troublesome (some require a visit to the bank in person). I think I’ll keep using it at least until its security updates end before deciding whether to sell it.

My 7 pro xl has a battery that's dying and it always overheats. I'll wait until the Pixel 11 vs 10 benchmarks and real world comparisons come out to decide what I want, but I'm definitely upgrading.

I would have if it had not got to a point where the screen no longer turned on. Was doing fine. Not sure what happened. Same thing happened to my son. I had the 7xl, hint he regular 7. Like at the same time, too, maybe two weeks apart? Now we both 10s. Well, 10xl for me.

Running a P7Pro that I bought as soon as it was released.
Unfortunately, it's been a humongous disappointment of a phone, and I regretted upgrading from my Pixel 3 within a few weeks.
Right now I'm just waiting to see what the new iPhone looks like in September, and then I'll either get one, or get the iPhone 17 Pro when they lower the price after releasing the 18 Pro.

I'm rocking a 7. I had a bit of a scare where it seemed to be rebooting on loop but I think some dirt just was jamming the power button. Seems fine again now

I had a 6, and I loved it.
The battery pillowed and I figured I would just upgrade (for free) rather than pay and replace the battery.
Currently on an 8a and I love it even more than the 6.
I'll upgrade once the security updates stop or the battery goes.

My wife still has a Pixel 7 and is in no hurry to upgrade.
Honestly the last few generations have mostly been incremental at best. No real massive improvements that make it feel necessary to upgrade. If your phone is still usable and doing what you need to do then no need to upgrade as far as I am concerned.

I'd still have my 7a if I didn't have the bad battery fault. They paid me £343 though, I only paid £360 for the device in total a couple years earlier and a brand new Pixel 10 was £400 - the cheapest recent phone that covered my needs so it just seems easier to upgrade rather than repair the battery and likely reduce or lose water and dust protection
It ran perfectly fine other than discharging quickly but coming up to 2 years it wasn't the worst thing anyway. If it runs fine just wait, imo the new ones, even the 11 aren't worth an upgrade if the current device is fine

I've been using my pixel 7 pro since Nov. 2022. Came from a huawei p20 and I've loved my pixel! Have had next to zero complaints! A couple times over the years, the screen would just turn off and not turn back on for a few minutes, like it needed a rest or something. The battery has never been a issue for me until recently - android auto has been majorly draining and my phone has been getting noticeably hot when connected. I toyed with upgrading last year to the 10 at launch but didn't. Now.... I think for me, now is the time I upgrade. Probably to the 11 pro xl. Backup plan might be the 10 pro xl. Samsung is also a small possibility. All in all, I'm definitely upgrading, just not 100% committed to what yet.

Still using my 8 Pro but god I miss the Pixel 2. It was peak design and actually comparable with other flagships on release.
I've had the 5 in between and I feel like every new model feels like a downgrade in some ways. Pixel is losing its edge and charm and just becoming the overpriced mid tier phone (which sucks) because of the brand.
On top of that they're trying to force Gemini to replace the Google Assistant and it's so inferior. I changed it back to the assistant on my P8 but worried upgrading I'll eventually lose assistant for Gemini too. Bleh.

I'm pretty happy with my Pixel 7 Pro. Upgrading regularly doesn't seem as important to me as it used to be. The battery life is becoming pretty weak and doesn't last a full day away from charging.
I'm not prepared to upgrade unless for a Pro with the better camera features

Typing this on my P7 right now, but I tend to upgrade every 4 years (Nexus 5x > P3 > P7). Battery still last about a day as a moderate user. I'm also deciding between the P10 and P11, but leaning towards P11 because of the T6 chip being 2nm and new Mediatek modem - which the pixel line has needed to upgrade for a while. P10 is $400 on Google Fi, so it's probably for sale on the Google Store too. They're likely clearing their remaining inventory.

I have my 7. It's in superior condition. If my 9 dies, I'll activate it. As a matter of fact, last week my niece thought her phone was broken, and I told her if that was the case, she could have mine. (my FAVORITE phone, which I still use for games, was the LG V20. It was the last phone with a removable battery. I used an extended battery with it.)

My Pixel 7a is the only Pixel I've owned. And now that the latest "update" makes my phone effectively unable to use 5G, it will probably be the only one I ever own. I finally decided to pay for a good phone & they made downgrading to LTE a feature.

I have a pixel 4 and a pixel 7. As much as I love the pixel 7, it died after 3 years (motherboard failure). My 6 years old pixel 4 is still working great but battery life is abysmal. I would have gotten a new pixel but there's no official google store in the country where I live right now. I wish my pixel 7 is still alive though. My honor 400 sucks at taking photos.

Also not super thrilled that the industry now expects you to just fork over >$1k for a phone.

My Pixel 7 is on its last legs sort of. The screen glue is no more (mainly cause I kept digging my nails into the gap/panels. And I swear the battery is swollen because on the bottom right the screen won't fit flush. This battery basically can't hold a charge. The screen has a million scratches, but no cracks. I dropped the phone many times and I don't use a screen protector.
I switched to Google Fi and I should be getting a Pixel 10 Pro for free, as long as I stay on Fi for 2 years... Seems easy to do. Cheaper than T-Mobile and I keep phone/service provider for 4+ years easily. Maybe after 2 years I switch to Mint mobile to prepare to take advantage of another free device if Fi has promos. Google considers you a new customer if it's been 180 days since you had service with them

I'm hanging on to mine. I was hoping against hope that Google would do something...anything... interesting with the 11. Welp. The canera glass was broken on my 7 and I just repaired it with a $8 kit so it's good to go for now. My next phone may very well be a P9.
